Real Sociedad have made their long-awaited return to the Champions League after a decade. Under the guidance of Imanol Alguacil, La Real have improved themselves season upon season. How? By being patient, utilizing their incredible academy (Zubieta), and having continuity within the club. On top of that, smart recruitment to bolster their squad has played out perfectly. The most recent example would be Takefusa Kubo, though Premier League stars Martin Odegaard and Alexander Isak have also passed through the club of late.

Real Sociedad is a club for football purists who like to see how a club grows the NATURAL way, not with cash injections and millions spent on signings.

  1. Congrats on the video and the interview. I really enjoy your videos about teams like this, makes me want to support them even more. I think in La Liga are teams really interesting to follow. Cheers.

  2. Hey Adrian as a native basque speaker I thought that your attempt at the names was pretty good! But there still were some mistakes I won’t blame you for. Barrene’s name has an etch in it.

  3. For so long, it's felt inevitable that Real Sociedad would be up there with the rest in the UCL, they've finally done it. They won't be easy to face in LaLiga and neither in the UCL with that Spanish pedigree that bring Spanish clubs success in Europe

  4. Thanks Adrian for making this video. I'm Txuri Urdin and enjoyed this so much! Kubo & Silva duo is magical! Looking forward to going to a friendly La Real game in SF in August😀

  5. Great video Adrian! Continuity is something you don't see much in the modern game of Football. Hopefully Real Sociedad does well in the next Champions League season

  6. I have been following them for a few seasons and I slowly became basically a true fan of them love to find more about them

  7. Will you be doing a review of your predictions on european leagues? I remember you also showed us a website where we could make our predictions about the whole table but i can't remember the name now lol

  8. Sounds all very similar to Freiburg, especially at 10:49. Nice, that those clubs are represened internationally. Would love to see such a documentary about them… or Heidenheim?!

  9. Nice video. One of the best fútbol/soccer channels on the platform. Real sociedad has alerts been an interesting and special club. Especially during the vela and Griezmann days.

  10. The Basques are simply put, amazing at football. Real's core is all homegrown players and Athletic's whole idea is to play with Basque players.

  11. The fact that in your contests only north americans can participate while the subject is a european club of the most followed sport in Europe is dumb AF.

  12. Im from the US and have no ties to spain or basque country whatsoever, im 21 now but when i first started learning about football at age 11, i was instantly intrigued with real sociedad, obviously through learning about real madrid and barcelona at first like everyone else, i started to watch la liga and i was captivated by everything about La Real, the crest, the basque language, and specifically their defender Mikel Gonzalez, since 2014 ive been a fan and have watched every game i can, and with the inclusion of streaming services i have not missed a single one of their games since espn added la liga onto their streaming app in 2021, i really identify with this club and their fanbase, even the basque people in general, i love this club with all my heart, i shed tears when Illaramendi played his last game and i am so proud to see them get back into the UCL, i will forever remain hopeful that WE WILL win La liga again one day, i was lucky to be the generation that saw them lift their first trophy in THREE decades and i know i will be the generation that sees them lift their third la liga🤍💙
