Inter Milan won the Champions League in 2010 thanks to a brace of goals from Diego Milito, with Jose Mourinho’s side running out 2-0 winners over Bayern Munich in the final in Madrid.

Inter had defied the odds to eliminate Barcelona in the semi-finals, and in the process completed a treble of Champions League, Serie A and the Coppa Italia that season.

That was the peak of that generation of Inter Milan—it was the last of five straight league titles, and Jose Mourinho left the club to become the manager of Real Madrid that summer.

Bayern Munich returned to the final in 2012—where they lost to Chelsea—before finally winning the trophy once more in 2013.
