In modern football you cant just view a managerial or head coach appointment as just the man himself. It is far more about the team he can bring with him as well, and Nuno does roll deep in that respect but he brings world class guys and industry leading techniques in quite a few areas, particularly in recovery and injury avoidance and Figueroa is his secret weapon in improving the players mental aspects. He has managed to ring really good performances out of a squad that was high percentage championship players with some quality sprinkled through in the first 2 season in the Prem. The club selling jota from under him last summer and the double season – small squad and injuries and mental fatigue were exacerbated with the lack of our partisan home crowd and the mental challenges of Covid. Make no mistake on form Nuno and his coaching team are as good or better than at least 8 of the 20 premiership managers.
I see two items that may be extending the talks –
1 is that to accommodate his whole coaching team may threaten some existing jobs at Everton.
2. He will almost certainly want to bring in some players that he has utmost belief in, like Traore, Neto, Neves potentially. And none of those will come cheaply. That is why it makes it a bigger commitment to take him on. He is very single minded and is unlikely to back down on those kinds of demands.
he also has a massive point to prove to Wolves for the manner in which he left and that drive will be awesome for Everton.

Yo Cam, looks like our worst Nightmare becomes a reality, Rafa whos had issues with James in Real Madrid is getting appointed, pretty much locked on all Betting sites now, which means there is high likelihood of James still leaving Everton this summer. Absolutely shocking, sad and devastating how things pan out after a disappointing season, instead of Hope of Improvements in this club, more Agony and Stress following for Evertonians.
