There’s no way this is good for the team, loosing Keita, chamberlain, Milly, Firmino, Hendo and most likely Fabinho and Tiago in a single transfer window is too much for a team. Except we all lower our expectations and accept this season as another transitional season.
See I’m not convinced the system change alluded to is going to be permanent. I saw it more as an adaptation to win matches with the condition of the squad as it was, with Fabinho’s dead legs, etc. I don’t see it as a permanent change, ideally. If you got a Caicedo in there who can do the work Fabinho did at his best, you can go back to a 4-3-3, not a boxed midfield. The boxed midfield is a Plan B for when you don’t have the players to play a 4-3-3. You shouldn’t plan for the Plan B; the team should buy to restore Plan A: the 4-3-3. That way you can play either one. The club missed out on Rice, and Tchouaméni. Missing out on Caicedo, imo, would be a real mistake
I wanna know why the Saudi's have taken players from Liverpool's core and not touching City, someone please rip a hole in the middle of cities squad please 😂
Is Bajetic that far off a first team place? He looks well handy to me. Keeping Fab one more year and having him develop as the understudy would have been perfect.
Players like Fab retire at the club back in the day cuz no one would have heard of these online dans
what do you two guys now about foodball nothing
Listen,
FSG even if Lavia comes in our net spend with what we have received from players that have left would be about £80 million pound. They should have another £100 for klopp.
If they don't this channel really needs to wake up to these owners
Minimum we need ANOTHER decent defensive midfielder and a top centre back.
Minimum.
So Minimum of 5 good players in.
We needed Minimum 4 players before window, when we thought we were keeping Henderson and fabinho.
Not to mention the wages
Of
Firmino, Ox, Keita, Milner, Nat Philips, Henderson, Fabinho.
coming off the books.
So after Lavia,
These owners absolutely do have the money on
Another two really good players after Lavia.
That would then make 7 High earners out
And bring in
5 players.
They do have the money.
And when you think with new stand ready to go in a few weeks.
The club will be bringing in extra cash for every single game.
Why doesn't redmen talk about this more.
Keep pressure on owners to spend reasonable money.?
See you.
So that officially makes it 10 players out the door and we have brought in 2 with about a week and half before the new season kicks off. When is this "rebuild" going to start that we keep hearing about ?
liverpool & fabinho himself probably realize he's not gonna hit that peak form again,
if not, he would have challenge himself again anywhere in Europe.
even VVD is on decline, hopefully the captaincy gonna help improve his form a bit,
or composed him more at the very least.
Okay so a few months ago, I commented on a video of yours saying I'd be happier if Hendo left. That has now happened. Now Fabinho has left an despite his faults last season, I still had faith that he was a quality CDM that was just having a rough season. I'm genuinely gutted, an I'm not looking forward to the new season. Am I the only liverpool fan worrying about how we will shape up against Chelsea? We need more signings!
Why is there a redMen Tv 2?!
If Leicester were willing to sell (big if given how many they've sold) I feel like Ndidi fits the profile of the kind of player you're talking about. He's not going to be the main man in midfield, but a solid destroyer who then moves it on to Trent, Mac, DS, etc.
When we lose the ball we need someone who able to defend..
What do you mean Lavia is off the cards?? Is the transfer off now?!
He is going to be very difficult to replace. And such a short period to do so. Poor planning all around.
Hendo and Fab were slated every time they played and we lost last season yet now they're gone, people are kicking off about them leaving. I for one thought Fab looked burnt out last season then when he found some form toward the end of the season, 23 points from 27. Honestly, this is a bad move for the club and he needs a like for like replacement and Lavia ain't it yet.
time to move on
Anyone wants a getaway ?
"Taxi for Flako !"
FIFA Women's :
Have we ever seen Chloe & Portugal's Kika Nazareth in the same room ?
we should go for amrabat i mean lavia is a great talent but our first choice should be amrabat
We've lost six (so far) midfielders this window and replaced them with two. Granted the majority occupied the medical team more than the first team but.. in the meantime we're quibbling about the price of a player everybody thinks will be special when we can't plead poverty because Southampton know we need to buy and have just agreed £52m sales
The argument that mane had bad last season for us therefore it wasn't a first team player loss..whilst fabinho was a first team player loss..is ridiculous. Mane and fabinho are both first team players that were lost. You can argue that we do not lose players at their peak..not to say first team players.
Time to sign matty cash and Ndidi and let Trent run the middle.
Fab's legs have gone, and Jurgen knows it. It's a great bit of business so long as we bring in a quality replacement.
Excuse me?????????? Mane was on top of his game when he left.
A better Fabinho once Trent was around him? He was repeatedly rinsed against the midfield runners of Southampton in the last game. Jurgen does not allow Fabinho leave if he didn't think he was done. 40 mill for 29 yr old (w/ 3 yrs left on his contract) would be terrible business if he had still got it. Fact is its fantastic business for a player who now gets overrun for fun.
I always said that Fabinho is somewhat our own version of "Patrick Viera" for Arsenal when it comes to importance when people were just taking him for granted. We never lose when he plays well! Opponents couldn't pass his long legs during his haydays. He even saved us as a CB when all the others were injured. And when he played bad last year, you see how it went for us.
So I have mixed feelings with this as Im nervous to see how it will work without him.
Fabinho was absolute garbage last season bar handful of games … He is past it and its good we have managed to get rid.
Diaz over Mane? Behave yourself
I’m a bit gutted that Saudi didn’t come in for Fabinho earlier as I think his ideal replacement would have been Ugarte but he’s gone to PSG now.
on the point of potentially not needing someone to be a creative passer due to trent inverting, i feel like it’s actually more important with trent there now, otherwise teams will just cut his space off and channel the ball the other way, and trent isn’t as good in the midfield spaces at working under pressure as thiago for example, when we depended on him for creativity from deep, so to have someone with a great range of quality passing and the intelligence to pick and choose the right moments to do so i think is crucial
Listen this is Liverpool FC they know what they're doing they were here before us and they still be here when we gone .Stop worrying much it will get sorted it's blnot like they're sitting there going shit what do we do now FFS . Come on have some faith stop talking, as if nothing I gonna happen . What the f**k is a ball Hawk?
I was taken aback by the host first comments about sadio Mane and I realised this guy doesn’t understand football
We need to replace Fabinho from 3 seasons ago actually. Lets not forget the "quad race" season did not end in us winning the quad, we won two domestic cups that no one cares about. We were leaking goals that season as well.
Hey guys! Fabino was great , but I think you guys are forgetting that he wasn't alone during those years, we had wijnaldum and the best Henderson running like horses, breaking up everything.
Am I sad? Yes. However, he was absolutely awful last season. Not even top 10 in his position. It's not a big loss from a player perspective based on last years performance and given his age, the best of him is likely gone.
