Kim Min-jae says he has work to do after the Korean defender made his debut with Bayern Municn in a 1-0 victory over Japan’s Kawasaki Frontale on Saturday in Tokyo.
Kim, who joined Bayern from Italian champions Napoli on a reportrd 50-million Euro transfer, started and played a half, but afterwards said he still needs time to get comfortable in the lineup.
“The team has changed, the tactics have changed and the players have changed, so I have to figure it out quickly”, Kim said.
“It’s a pity that I didn’t adapt quickly.”
Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel said he was happy with Kim’s performance, but the German champions continued to struggle up front and had to rely on a goal from defender Josip Stanišic for their winning difference.
Asked after the match of runoured target Harry Kane is needed., Stanišić said he couldn’t answer the question but that he thinks Bayern have the talent up front already.
Forward Sadio Mane was left out of the squad withBayer releasing a statement that he was in talks with another club “and is therefore not in the line-up today”.
