Manchester United’s U21s lost 3-1 to Wrexham but Hannibal and Alvaro Fernandez were a cut above the rest despite the defeat. Erik ten Hag’s influence on United’s patterns of play but Dan Gore’s red card at the start of the second half killed the contest.
It was a good experience nevertheless but United’s U21s were bullied defensively by Wrexham and that was their downfall overall.

Grand risings you REDS I missed the game I said 3-1"oh well we move n learn
sam there is no convincing there this guys where just old men hitting this kids here and there the ref was a disgrace too
it was painful staying up late to watch how my young lads where being kicked and bullied
Gore is amazing i reckon he is better than Mount which we wasted 60m on
as things are Hannibal can bench fred he is smart and the energy is there he can get pass his marker at is has a good sight on goal too i feel is time. fred move on
Read on a Luton site that Hannibal linked with a loan move to Luton or Leicester.
We might have our own Franky DE Jong in Hannibal
spin spin and more spin then its spun:-)
Bro, why can't Noam Emeran, Joe Hugill, Matej Kovar and Kobie Manoo show up?!

Hannibal is 100% ready
I disagree with this Alvaro Fernandez hype, same type of player like Trent. Zero defensive awareness and ability
Hannibal was a cut above them all
I'm not too disappointed we lost tbh. It was a massive learning curve for these youngsters that majority of them still aren't quite ready to make the step up yet. Players like Hannibal, Gore, Fernandez, Aaron-Hansen all played well imo. The ref didn't help either. We're even getting screwed over by refs in pre season. Gore should never of been sent off a ridiculous decision while he booked Fernandez for nothing aswell but Wrexham deserved that win it was literally men vs boys out there. They'll learn & grow from this
The inconsistency of the ref ruin the youth momentum
You wouldn’t have seen mourinho and alike be at the game last night. It’s great to see Eric care so much about the 2nd team. Great man managing skills
Should keep him, and use him & Mainoo, and not sign Amrabat
You Bluffers, where are you???
Shame on you devils
Wrexham came from a more physical league and played against youngsters so not shocking result; smart on Eric to give them and the coach some prime time
The lads looked really good. The red card, which was not made it difficult. Too harsh of a summary. Keeper was bad. Defense is what you expect when men are playing boys.
We need our yoursters to be more exposed against senior teams Friendly's whether we lose 3/0 or 8nil 10nil at the end of the day it's a learning experience and must keep on trying. All the best to our yoursters.
So Newcastle lost 1-3 Serves them right for being a bar code.
I was at the game, Hannibal got a lot of touches, but he created nothing, a lot of square balls.
I've not seen Wrexham play since they went Hollywood. Thus I was kind of shocked at how basic they were. I guess that's how it's done in League one. Thus it provided a great challenge for our kids; it was literally men against boys and the experience will have been good for them. It is a bit of a shame that their manager threw Bishop under the Social Media bus. It was clearly a rash challenge with Mullin, but accidental. But the Wrexham manager was all up in the ref's face at half-time and I'm pretty sure it was his pressuring the ref that led to the absurd red card.
Your noisy neighbour was saying Evans should never have been sold? Extraordinary opinion??? Evans was shot of confidence, particularly after a 4-0 league cup mauling by Wimbledon with a young Deli Alli playing…HAD to go… Needed a fresh start..Went to West Brom on to Leicester, found his confidence, had a decent career…Smalling to Roma was similar…Don't understand why he's back now? Maybe doing his coaching badges and wants to stay fit if another club comes in? Shouldn't be a squad player in anyone's most colourful imagination…..
Very important to watch the other teams indeed to see ETH's work spread out. Well done.
Hannibal ❤❤❤
