Daniel Wass (Daniel Wass; born May 31, 1989, Gladsaxe, Hovedstaden) is a Danish footballer who plays as a midfielder for Atlético Madrid and the Danish national team. Semi-finalist of the European Championship 2020.
Daniel Wass started at Brøndby as a defender, making his club debut in the winter of 2007 against Copenhagen. Since then, Wass has entered the main clip of the Danish club players. In the 2009/10 championship, Vass tried his hand at the Norwegian Fredrikstadt on loan, but lost the season due to injury and returned to Denmark. In the 2010/11 season Vass played 32 games in the Danish Super League, where he scored 6 goals and provided 4 assists.
At the end of last season, Wass decided not to renew his contract with Brøndby and, as a free agent, moved to Lisbon’s Benfica. The Portuguese club immediately decided to give the player more playing time and sent him on loan to the French Evian. In the new team, Vass began to play more often in the position of the right winger and more connected to the attacks.
On 22 June 2015 Wass signed a 4-year contract with Celta Vigo.
On July 10, 2018, Daniel Wass joined Valencia.
On January 28, 2022, he moved to Atlético Madrid, the Dane signed a contract until 2023. Atlético Madrid paid about 2.7 million euros for the transfer of the player.
