I'm sorry guys but the idea that Foden is not a good presser is nonsense. He plays for Man fucking City.
According to most football pundits, Foden will solve world hunger and has a cure for corona virus up his sleeve. Good player but my God. Youd think it was the second coming of Christ. Saka is better.
With players like grealish foden kane sancho dcl sterling rashford mount saka we should be looking to win the tournament. I can't think of many teams with better attacking depth as England. Right back. Trent James walker trippier. Left back Shaw chilwell. There's so much quality. I also think centreback isn't as bad as people make out. Maguire stones konsa tomori coady keane are all good or very good defenders. Just central midfield is the weak area. Rice is developing into a really good player. Bellingham has fantastic potential. Henderson is a winner. Phillips is decent. Plus Pope pickford Henderson are all solid keepers. I would even consider players like Greenwood as a potential shout. Southgate needs to be brave in his selections
To say his ball carrying is not elite is ridiculous. Hes one of the most technically gifted players in Europe
Phil can play CAM, LWF, AMF and CMF. I reckon he could replace a lot of players
The most naturally gifted English player around. How he works the ball in really tight congested area's. Wether to dribble or pass, borders on the ridiculous.
if southgate can get this team to play together with the talent theyve shown in their clubs….. this could be a much better team than the becks gerrard etc golden generation. teamplay and being able to comfortably play in a given position is key. Im pretty sure thats what southgate is focussed on
