Dern NEEDED to change her fight style to what she brung here. Had she done this again Xiaonan, she probably would’ve won! She’s gone from having NO G&P which made her control mean nothing when she missed a sub, to now having a way to score while on top which let her soften Hill up over the rounds.

Dern did not deserve performance of the night, she was piecing up hill on the feet real bad, only for her to look for a takedown that ended in a stalemate. Over and over again. Only thing the corner of dern did right that night was spot that hill tends to put her head down and swing, which set up a really good knee in the 3rd round.
