Forshaw out for the season. Wait and see
17 games 17 points and 14th position, with a game in hand, says pretty much everything about this crazy world cup season imo. And the true domestic league problems the world cup may bring may not be fully realised until the end of the season imo.

Confidence is everything in football. That's why team wins happens in waves. Just look to Newcastle and Arsenal. The best teams bounce back and regain confidence very quickly (aka City) and that is a huge part of a good managers job.

Is it my imagination or do we seem to be improving overall? In the games from September/October we were all over the place. Since Liverpool, although with defeats to Man City and Spurs, we have looked more solid. Is it my imagination?

I'd drop Aarronson and play Gnonto or Harrison in the 10 roll. I think a lot of the mistakes come down to a lack of confidence and a lack of quality. Still not sure about Rocca.

I dont normally do this but I need to vent/rant here on a couple of things –
1 klich, like most fans (maybe not Bob) I love the man and will be forever grateful. But, the club should have informed the fan base it was his last game and an opportunity to say bye etc… poor from the club!
2 – I also dont want to jump on Jesse, and genuinely want him to succeed. He’s been here just under a year brought a number of players in and I continue to be discouraged by his “tactics”. I’m sorry but i’m tired of the team scrapping for results, some great individual players but not enough defensive balance. Id like a change, ive had enough.

I have a lot of respect for what they have achieved but if Andrea has publicly stated we need more investment, and he hasnt got the funds then they have to go!! Have you seen any more updates on SF69’rs take over plans?

Jack Harrison played well when he came on… I think Aronson needs some competition.. Joffy seems to be a last 5 mins sub which is sad.
I thought Harrison did more last night in his cameo than in recent appearances. Geldhart given no time again to make an impact. Gnonto again our main threat.
Agree need ready replacement for Klich.
Ideally still need a left back, creative midfielder and a centre forward this window. Pleased to see Marsch drop his guard a bit and call out the players after the match. We went into a shell around half time again. Should have won in the end though. Onwards we go.
Personally, I think Klichy still had a massive role to play this season; he is a proven goal scorer, and his experience and commitment is unsurpassed. So very sad to see him go
Thought Gnonto was terrific last night, Ayling had his best game in a long time, we should have won the game though, Rodrigo straight at the keeper when through, Coops
header cleared off the line & the huge save from Rodrigos header in the last minute ! we just needed a bit of luck to get the 3 points ( plus giving away silly goals doesn't help ).

Not guna happen but I’d love us to bring Seko Fofana in.. I didn’t know much about him until we were first linked.. Had a look since and the lads a midfield general.. Exactly what we need IMO Iv seen nothing of Wöber so can’t comment there other than hope he does well.. The Swedish lad up top looks a good option too but Iv a feeling we’re guna pull somebody from an obscure league that nobody knows.. Raphinha 2.0 type deal 🤷🏻♂️

Leeds goals last night weren't due to over commitment. It was individual errors and tactics. The players had obviously been told to look up before playing the ball out of defense….yes, but not on the edge of the box, when you know you are clear of opponents. The other goal was due to stupid negative play passing centrally to a player who's crowded out who has to play it back. Passing the ball for no reason into dangerous areas which have no chance of gain is madness.
Bamford/Forshaw are stealing a living 2 games a season gotta go
As far as i am concerned JM has had long enough to make his mark with this squad. It might not be a popular opinion but we will get relegated under him. Tactically he is inept for the premier League in my opinion. I have never once heard him speak tactically in any press conference. Think we have a better squad than the one under Bielsa but the football is shocking. We are being carried by two kids in Summerville and Gnonto.
Being honest I’m glad klichy has gone he’s done his bit since last season he’s dropped of his performances badly he’s too old and is getting his last payday in USA

Those rumours about resigning Chris Wood have given me nightmares. Positives -Gnonto and his goal and some good attacking action. A bit disappointing to draw. because I was hoping for a win. Perhaps need to adjust expectations.

Hello Ger always a good update and to listen to your analysis of the match and what's going on with player's etc. Willy scored a beauty he will become even better the second goal the 🔨 Hammer's got was a stupid mistake shouldn't of happened we always shoot ourselves in the foot 👣. Moyes said they deserved to win well Mr Moyse you didn't you only got back in the game due to our mistakes and a fantastic save by the Hammer's 🔨 goalie stopped us getting 3points . Like you say Ger brilliant going forward defence is hopeless at times. Klichy should of got a full house good bye 👏the club should of said at half time about klichy Top Gentleman will be a LEEDS UNITED legend forever a SIDE BEFORE SELF EVERYTIME player it's a pity he didn't stay until the end of the season I wish him all the best 🤍💛💙🏐. Another good match analysis, Ger. Leeds were hard done by this result — the fact is, on balance, Leeds was better than West Ham could have easily had 4 goals in the match if it weren't for Fabianski playing out of his mind. Leeds is unlucky in that the two mistakes led to goals — rewind this game and it's easy to see how those mistakes could have been avoided or minimized. And step back and look at the big picture — you have a point per game with a game in hand, a goal differential that is appropriate for a 10th or 11th place team, and which is better than 6 of the teams below you in the table. 40 points is very doable. You've shored up the left side of defense with a transfer signing. Two of your best young attacking players, both of whom are incredibly dynamic, will be coming back from injury. Gnonto is going to explode. And your goalkeeper is astonishingly good. There's a lot more to be excited about that to be worried about. But Leeds fans are MORE fickle than any other fans in the prem. A lot of them would sack their own father from the family because he didn't buy the right Christmas present. And, yes, I am NOT joking.
Seems odd to sell Klich when he was getting match time and why give him the send off when the likes of KP got nothing.
The WH match was a bad miss for us, we need the points urgently. The system is not working.

Another good level headed video Ger 👍. Talking about midfielder's to replace Klich, I was wondering what your thoughts would be regarding Lewis Bate? He's apparently doing well out on loan & I have always rated him when he's played. Obviously lacking in experience & I don't know regarding a recall clause but I think he's a talent.
I don't agree we're a good attacking unit. We have some talented attackers but they don't play with structure. So you get flashes of good play but you don't feel that when we have the ball we can create anything. We barely troubled West Ham for the first 3/4 of the game, despite the goals, and the Irons can't be happy that they let us score two.
Five at the back is not a good way to shore up a bad defence lol. It's an attacking formation that doesn't suit Marschball. You can create the same effect by having a holding midfielder who drops into the back line reliably. We don't have that because Roca is a bad defender and Adams often gets out of position pressing. We'd do much better if we structured our back four as a unit and got them to hold a line better. A key problem is that guy slipping in at the back post and that's caused by the fullback sliding across to cover. That should be Roca/Adams and the fullback should be picking up the late runner. This is elementary and not fixing it shows Marsch does not understand tactics at all.
Thanks Ger, I thought in the West ham game we were patchy at best. Gnonto was good, Harrison good when he came on. Ayling started well, but fell away. Strujik didn’t have his best game.We still need another striker. Sad to see Klich go….Geldhardt seems to get two minutes a game, surely needs longer..Thanks again.MOT!

Thanks Ger – Great as ever, and definitely with you on Harrison not doing as much as he can. If there was an offer for him of around 30-35mill I would bite a teams handoff. Gnonto, Summerville, and Sinisterra have for me pushed him down the pecking order. And for me, and I know people will likely disagree with me on this but I would be happy for Harrison to go and James to return. DJ just looks better in a narrow press than JH.
And don't get me wrong Harrison is an amazing winger but he's better suited for a wider system/style of play, much more a classic old-school winger with great cross but Leeds's current narrow style of play is better suited for an inverted winger and number 10 which JH doesn't seem to be able to do. Hopefully, he proves me wrong because I like Jack but time will tell.

Very good, balanced views on where we are. Cooper has never really been good enough, we need a real leader at the back, if we can become really solid we will win games.
