Coming from a brighton fan I believe that we should have accepted this 80m bid. This is because he desires to leave the club now and if he doesn't then I am worried that he won't perform as good next season (I hope I am wrong).

People hate accepting how the average price for a big club starter who is under contract has gone up yet again.
A couple of years ago you were talking 60-70m and people struggled with that price, but is now closer to 80-90m and it takes a while for that to normalise for the public.
There’s a hell of a lot of money in the game. And it’s only going up.
