Xherdan Shaqiri has revealed he will make a decision on his Liverpool future after Euro 2020.

Shaqiri is currently part of Switzerland’s squad at the tournament and has been linked with a move away from Anfield this summer.

The 29-year-old joined the Reds from Stoke City in the summer of 2018, and scored six times in 30 appearances in all competitions in his first season with the club.

But Shaqiri has struggled for regular game time over the last few years and made just seven starts last season.

And although he still has two years left on the five-year deal he signed when he moved to Liverpool, he appears to be considering his future.

  1. His sky-high assist to Salah, UCL & other times he's been important. Let's not forget.
He brings something different to the table, I think. Like he's on a different bandwidth to the usual team philosophy, sometimes it works.
Now & again he seems to get… a little lost maybe ?
I still rate him highly though & think he should get more game time, he can't do it all in 7 games & his preseasons have had some clinical skill displayed.

  2. Has to go!! We don't need luxury players that cannot get around the pitch especially ones that fail to deliver at the things they do best. Was a good buy but we need fresh blood! YNWA

  3. Doesn't do enough for Liverpool when given the opportunities. Wouldn't be a great loss if he went. Same goes for Origi.

  4. Shaqiri has to do what's right for himself. Whatever the reasons, he just is not getting enough football at Liverpool and he's too good a player to see his prime years continue on like this. As others have said here, he provides something different when in the team.

  5. Him matip ox Keita are all to injury prone for me so I'd sell all if not at least 2 of them along with origi and get in more reliable replacements

  6. He's such a great player and he loves playing for us, shame klopp doesn't use the players who actually want to play for the club rather then run to Barcelona or Madrid.
