🔥 JUST CONFIRMED! INCREDIBLE! NOBODY BELIEVED! LIVERPOOL TRANSFER NEWS

Liverpool will now ‘move aggressively’ to strengthen key area at Anfield

Liverpool are expected to be ‘aggressive’ in their attempts to fortify themselves at Anfield, journalist Dean Jones told GIVEMESPORT.

The Merseyside club have focused on improving their midfield so far in the summer transfer window, but they won’t stop there.

Jurgen Klopp and his recruiting team needed to rebuild Liverpool’s midfield in the opening weeks of the window.

James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita left the club after their contracts expired, with Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister signing on the dotted line.

The Reds lost the Champions League last season, so additions were needed for the new season.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Liverpool continue to recruit in the midfield, considering they’ve lost three players, but there’s an argument to be made that they still need to improve other areas of the pitch.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano recently told GIVEMESPORT that Liverpool will look to sign another midfielder, regardless of the future of Fabinho, who is in talks to sign for Saudi club Al-Ittihad.

Now, according to journalist Jones, Liverpool could turn their attention to signing a new defender during the summer transfer window.

Jones suggested that Liverpool could now move aggressively to improve their defence.

With Trent Alexander-Arnold playing in midfield, the Reds feel a bit light on defense at the moment.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, he said: “I strongly hope they really get into that defender market soon and become a bit more aggressive in terms of signing someone.

“They feel a little light at the moment, especially if Trent Alexander-Arnold continues to play the role we saw at the end of last season.

“But yeah, I don’t think it’s a bad thing that Ibrahima Konate has to worry about his starting position in that team.

“I think you also want different options working with Virgil van Dijk to ensure Liverpool can compete for the title next season.”

Due to several departures, Klopp’s team is going through a major transition at the squad level.

If Fabinho leaves the club, more midfield reinforcements will be needed.

Sport BILD journalist Christian Falk recently told GIVEMESPORT that Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch could be available this summer, a player that Liverpool have shown interest in.

Journalist Ben Jacobs also revealed to GIVEMESPORT that Liverpool could make a bid for youngster Romeo Lavia from Southampton, especially if they see more outings in the midfield area.

In terms of defenders, Jones previously told GIVEMESPORT that the Reds are interested in signing defender Levi Colwill from Chelsea, but it certainly won’t be easy to convince the west London club to let him leave.
