Após ser goleado pelo Celta, o time saudita sofreu nova dura derrota, por 4 a 1, para o Benfica, em amistoso disputado em Faro, Portugal. O Benfica, que fez seu terceiro amistoso na pré-temporada, abriu o placar com um golaço de Di María. O argentino recebeu dentro da área e finalizou com uma cavadinha de pé direito para vencer o goleiro. O jovem goleador Gonçalo Ramos fez o segundo e o terceiro ainda na etapa inicial.

O meia Khalid-Al Ghannam diminuiu para o time saudita, em contra-ataque e boa finalização de dentro da área. Ainda no primeiro tempo, veio um dos grandes lances do jogo: Di María aplicou um chapéu (ou lençol, como queiram) em Cristiano Ronaldo, que cometeu a falta no argentino em seguida.
Na volta do intervalo, o técnico Roger Schmidt trocou todo o time do Benfica. O jovem atacante norueguês Andreas Schjelderup, de 19 anos, fez o quarto dos portugueses e fechou o placar: 4 a 1.
David Neres foi titular pelo Benfica e atuou no time da primeira etapa. Cristiano Ronaldo e Talisca foram titulares no Al-Nassr, e o português só foi substituído nos minutos finais. O meio-campista Brozovic, ex-Inter de Milão, jogou pela segunda vez na nova equipe.
O Al-Nassr fez o seu quarto amistoso da pré-temporada. Até agora, o time saudita venceu o Alverca por 2 a 0 e goleou o Farense por 5 a1, e foi goleado pelo Celta por 5 a 0, e pelo Benfica, por 4 a 1. A equipe de Luís Castro agora embarca para o Japão, onde faz amistosos contra o PSG, no dia 25 de julho, e Inter de Milão, no dia 27.
O Benfica venceu seus três amistosos na pré-temporada: 2 a 0 no Southampton, 3 a 1 no Basel e 4 a 1 no Al-Nassr. O atual campeão português ainda encara o Celta, nesta sexta, e o Burnley, no próximo dia 25.

Benfica, who played their third pre-season friendly, opened the scoring with a great goal by Di María. The Argentine received it inside the area and finished with a right foot dig to beat the goalkeeper. The young scorer Gonçalo Ramos scored the second and third still in the initial stage.

Midfielder Khalid-Al Ghannam slowed down for the Saudi team, on the counterattack and good finishing from inside the area. Still in the first half, came one of the great moves of the game: Di María applied a hat (or sheet, as you wish) to Cristiano Ronaldo, who then fouled the Argentine.
On the way back from the break, coach Roger Schmidt changed the entire Benfica team. The young Norwegian striker Andreas Schjelderup, aged 19, made the fourth for the Portuguese and closed the score: 4 to 1.
David Neres was in the starting line-up for Benfica and played for the team in the first stage. Cristiano Ronaldo and Talisca were starters at Al-Nassr, and the Portuguese was only substituted in the final minutes. Midfielder Brozovic, formerly of Inter Milan, played for the second time in the new team.
Al-Nassr played its fourth pre-season friendly. So far, the Saudi team has beaten Alverca by 2-0 and thrashed Farense by 5-1, and was thrashed by Celta by 5-0, and by Benfica, by 4-1.
Benfica won their three pre-season friendlies: 2-0 at Southampton, 3-1 at Basel and 4-1 at Al-Nassr. The current Portuguese champions still face Celta, this Friday, and Burnley, on the 25th.
