      We are holding out for the summer to buy Max Aarons. Pretty sure there has been a deal by now between Spurs and Norwich for us to buy him then.

      Bruxie – Cracking account Alastair. One question:- Liverpool don't employ an out and out striker. They have three forwards as do we. Why do we need anyone apart from Son, Lucas, Dele, Lamela. We have as much up front as Liverpool if we show up on the day. It's about belief and winning things. Liverpool have won something and go from strength to strength.

      Signing another playmaker to ease the burden on locelso makes sense.. but is it more likely to be a youngster in the summer like cantwell? Cos spending big money on a bruno fernandes will mean that either he or locelso miss out as alli seems undroppable..wrongly in my opinion cos i dont think he does a lot as a number 10 other than score goals..id have liked to see him played as the false 9 while kanes out as hes taller than lucas and is a good finisher. It would also mean ndombele will be turned into our defensive mid but im not sure thats where hes best position is as hes more attack minded. This soumare looks like a real quality defensive midfielder to come and sit next to ndombele/locelso/winks . Thanks for the update once more 👍

      Thanks for your insight Alasdair into what's going on, I'm slightly more optimistic as we approach deadline day and forsee 2 in with Bergwijn who is rapid and has the qualities I feel to rotate /provide competition with Son & Moura and feel we will get Piatek as we desperately need another striker.
      Signing LoCelso now will be shrewd business and agree that he has all the attributes to become a super star. Added to the rumoured departures of Eriksen, Rose, KWP, CCV and Wanyama I can see JM rebuild taking shape nicely.

      I'd like to thank Eriksen for bringing joy to us. He'll be a legend in my eyes. His last year with us wasn't true reflection of him. Eriksen is an amazing pro, player and a person. There will always be a place at Spurs, for Eriksen. I think Spurs and Jose would be looking at one player who could fill Eriksen's place. I believe Spurs maybe doing a very sneaky quiet haggling for him, without the media glare. Yes, I am talking about Bruno Fernandes. I have been buoyed by recent Lo Celso displays for us. He can dispossess opposition of the ball, play through balls, setup his team mates and has the drive to move the ball forward. These are qualities that will make him an ideal link up player for us. Alongside Ndombele, who is strong, has vision and can score from the midfield, what a pair! We must learn to manage Ndombele as he adjusts to the rigours of the premiership. We do that and we can have a brilliant game changer of a player. We also must ensure refs protect our players more. In every last games, our players were hacked down by the oppositions. Lo Celso was meated out some severe knee nudges and crunching tackles. Unacceptable really. I feel we missed a trick. With the departure of Eriksen, it reminded me that the last season at WHL we were unbeatean and unbeatable. We should have delayed building the stadium and instead took the money and spent it on the squad, and looked to push for title/CL win. Instead we chose the stadium and as soon as that was done, an anti-climax set in, and all our players were deflated after the CL loss and when they moved back to the Tottenham Way. Missed a trick. In regards to a striker, LLorente would be the ideal choice and since he's available again, we should go for him. We shouldn't try to buy Piatek because he's the only choice in this window. Instead get a temp striker now, like LLorente and then look in summer for a seriously good one. About Bergwjin, is he not a Moura type player? I don't know about you but I feel like there's bound to be a surprise package on Friday from Levy on the 11th hour and maybe Bruno unveiled or Bale is back home? Don;t you just love the January transfer windows and Mr Tight git, the chairman Levy. Thanks Al.

      Alasdair, do we still need a playmaker to replace Eriksen, in the mould of Bruno Fernandes (increasingly a pipe dream now), or do you think Lo Celso is adequate as our only creative midfielder?
      If Lo Celso gets injured again, what do we do in the creative aspect? Lamela is not a pure creative.

      Just wanted to emphasise what you said about Eriksen, what a special player. I hope the fans aren't too short-sighted and will instead remember his greatness. Gutted that he never won anything with Spurs, we damn well deserved to. Excited to see how Gio can take the mantel, he has been class recently.

      Why has Zlatan Ibrahimovic displaced Piatek at AC Milan? Zlatan is 38 years old. I'm happy Piatek might come to Spurs and he shows potential & is young. Just don't understand why he's playing 2nd fiddle to an almost geriatric striker.

      Hi Alasdair, many thanks for another informative video. Well, it is that time of the year when Spurs fans get tortured by the transfer window. It's like having your teeth pulled out without anesthetic. Daniel Levy has all of us wondering where we go from here. When you look at the rising stars at the moment, Bruno Fernandes and Jack Grealish, they could have been signed by Poch last summer and who knows Poch may still be the manager. I am infuriated by the idea that we get an interim main striker until Kane comes back. We need at least one other striker who could arguably be as good as Kane or close. If this happened, the load would be lightened on Kane and that means fewer injuries and far more effective for the team. Levy really needs to be honest with us fans and do what is required. This constantly dipping into the bargain basement and hoping for a gem of a player is not befitting of a world-class club like Tottenham. If he persists, then we have to accept that Tottenham is just a top ten club and miles away from the standard required. With a few days remaining, hope springs eternal!! Perhaps we can do a deal for Bale with RM paying a huge percentage of his remaining contract. It could work for Bale and cheaper for Madrid!! Food for thought……………….

      Watched every game from mourinho been in and hard to watch trying to transition from team that had high press /tempo to one that defends from edge of box and players don’t seem to b able to adapt either back mourinho with players that suit or jump ship before get too far down line

      Can’t knock Eriksen huge spurs fan but was always honest about what he wanted to do and defo know now wasn’t financially motivated just wanted new challenge and fair play best of luck deserves to win trophies

      Still concerned for our top 4 hopes unless we bring in a striker and he can also hit the ground running unless of course Jose took Berwijn with a view to Son being a striker?. I really hope Levy can deflect some of our dislike for him with 1 or 2 last minute deals for good player otherwise we're outsiders for that CL spot imo.

      Just our luck the teams around us are in patchy form. It's all down to Levy now to help salvage our season.

      I am a Chelsea fan fair play with Bergwijn very good player very strong and fast Lo celso good buy as well just needs time to develop and if you get St you will push top 4 tbf
