      i'm half chilean from my dad's side, and i of course have family there, they tell me the crime is so bad over there that if a thief get caught they just get the worst beating and some times the police just watch the thief get punched and kicked and when the people are done the police take them in. Some police officers say its easier to take them while they're down cuz its less resistence and it happens so often

      Leaving a camera bag in a car in a crap country. Bad idea.
      Having a double backup wouldn't fix the problem because that bag would have been stolen too.
      Can't blame your camera man. You can only blame criminals, and you for leaving the gear in the car.
      Ps: Stop with the clickbait fake photoshop thumbnails. You make too much money to "cheat" people for a few more clicks and views.
