      As talented as he is, Felix isn't for me. Nothing to do with his talent, it's more to do with attitude. I watched him a lot at Chelsea and I know it was shambolic season, but he had an opportunity to really make an impression and …then nothing. Lack of effort, focus. And I never like a player who does as little training as possible. It's a no for me.

      Morning guys. Can not see us buying both Johnson and Diaby – looks like the Saudi’s have also offered €60m and I cant see us going that high. Johnson is just a no for me, he lacks the quality we really need, great at running on to the ball but his stats for 1 on 1’s is awful, not convinced this would be our best option.

      Felix – major FFP issues with his wages so I am not sure we can wangle this one unless we move on a couple of players quickly.

      CDK – player who has fallen foul of his hype. Can Unai fix him….. yes he can. €25m is a good starting point but wouldn’t be looking to increased that by much given they have just signed Pulisic for his position. There is a really strong, physical player in CDK if we can allow him time to rebuild his confidence.

      So much going on with Villa, lot to consider with UEFA home grown/academy rules and the whole FFP although that could be next year when it comes into play for us. Balancing act, desperate to build a high quality team capable of challenging on all fronts, 60+ games potentially, and ideally Unai wants players in before the US tour……..!

      It is a great time to be a Villa fan. Considering how recently it was that I looked at signings like Coutinho, Ings, Lucas Digne etc as massive statements of the owners intent to get Villa back amongst the top end of the table, it is incredible to think all 3 of these could now be moved on (Ings already has) to make way for upgrades.

      Instead of signing Johnson, I would like to see Duran be given more opportunities to make an impact. I think he is kind of player that needs a goal to build confidence and might then start to reproduce the kind of displays which made Emery sign him! UTV!!

      If we manage to get both Johnson and Diaby I don't think we'll get in another striker. Both Johnson and Diaby are versatile forwards. Diaby can play on the flanks and can play as a No10/2nd striker/wide/inside forward. Johnson can also play on the flanks….play as a CAM….No10/2nd striker. The "problem" is that both players predominately play on the RW. Here's the thing tho….I think Emery may use both Johnson and Diaby as No 10's/ 2nd striker(s) for Ollie
