USMNT are nearing the announcement of the next USMNT manager and according to a number of sources of The Athletic’s Paul Tenorio all signs indicate it’ll be Gregg Berhalter. The fanbase is split on whether he should or shouldn’t be resigned as the USMNT manager. Some will point out his winning percentage, trophies won, and success in World Cup. Others will point out how static and unwavering his system is, not being flexible, player management, and being outcoached.
Why did it take this long for them to wind around in a convoluted “interview process” just to tell the fans to go eff themselves. What this indicates is that they acknowledge they hold all the power and the fanbase is not going to check them on the process.

I'm hoping that you can get together with independent journalists and maybe some former players and issue some sort of statement or article of lasting value about how corrupt and despicable the USSF is. Unfortunately they're so successful at how they control information that the understanding of this isn't really out there.
For instance, if I try to look up an article about how USSF treats press access (relative to how other sports do), I can't find anything on that subject. I know enough to know that there's truth to the fact that they have a ton of shills and astroturfing, and how they banish 'naughty' press, but I don't know how to show that to others.

I want a real investigative journalist to expose this sham hiring “process.” I want to know the name of every person interviewed, I want to see plane tickets or travel documents proving they were in the area the interviews took place and hotel log books and Lyft receipts or private limo drivers time cards and the names of the people driven to the “interview”site or from the airport to where the “interviews” took place. I want to see Hotel records of where the candidates stayed. I want sworn depositions from any member of the federation who claims to have interacted with these candidates ( I think I made my point, sorry for rambling) But I guarantee that this whole story about an exhaustive hiring process is simply false.

Also why was Chris Richards never asked or interviewed about a “top candidate” in his old coach being hired for the position… seems like a pretty straightforward setup for an interview but they didn’t care because they knew what was happening behind the scenes
