A tribute to Shaun Johnson (born 9 September 1990). A New Zealand professional rugby league footballer who plays as a halfback or five-eighth for the Cronulla Sharks in the NRL. He has played previously for the New Zealand Warriors.
In 2014 Johnson won the Golden Boot Award for the world’s best player.

The best attacking player that NZ has ever produced, possibly the best that rugby league has ever seen. In his prime, he was unstoppable. Yet he was blamed for the warriors failures when he literally carried the team for years.
Before his injury against manly where it put him out for a long period, he was actually in that Zen mode where he controlled everything and was actually running games. It's a shame that injury hit when it did because he was making the best teams look average

Funniest thing is at 4:47 he takes Burgess one on one with a great tackle that was penalised.. A guy who is 30kg lighter gets penalised for an effective tackle
SJ is NZ's NRL prince in his position. The writing is clearly written on the wall.

Not anymore time for a new younger player to come through. Benji Marshall was more skillful than Shaun.
It's a sad day when us Warriors fans need to come here to see SJ at his most glorious. 2022 he is not.
