BJ Callaghan’s USMNT takes on John Herdman’s Canada in the quarter-finals of the CONCACAF Gold Cup, the knock-out stage where it’s win or go home. The US will rely on guys like Miles Robinson, Matt Turner and Jalen Neal to be rock-solid at the back, while Jesus Ferreira, Cade Cowell and Djordje Mihailovic will need to find a way past a Canadian bunker.
We’ll also be talking about:
-Landon Donovan mouthing off about Christian Pulisic coming back to MLS
-Reggie Cannon’s amazing interview with Herculez Gomez where he talks a lot about MLS v Europe.
-Sergino Dest possibly going to the premier league?
-Brenden Aaronson to Union Berlin is done
-Brandan Craig goes to Austin FC on loan

Mo Edu did play in a World Cup
Donovan and Lalas make their money from MLS. So of course they are going to tout it.
Definitions vary, but I would say this is a Canada B team (only a few A team starters, a few A Team benchers and lots of new faces. I call that a B Team. The US team is going a little lower on their depth list, so I would call their team a C+ team. If Canada continues to play bad, the US will win easily as they seem to be better organized. However, if Canada can raise their game, on paper I would say this should be a close game.
I love the topic line at on the screen
I like Reggie Cannon's interview he just did on Football Americas. I still am 100% against his whining about FC Dallas fans booing his political kneeling during the 2020 "summer of love"
R. Cannon is way better than Yedlin.😅
They both did it
Donovan’s just still salty about being dropped 😂😂
I hate MLS. Institutionalized mediocrity.
Cade Cowell gonna go off tonight
Just a quick question? If the key to becoming great is maniacal fan and media pressure then why don’t those relegation level Italian and German teams where the fans come in and threaten to kill the players win everything? Or the South American teams that were chasing the star player to kill him after a loss or kidnapping relatives for “motivation “.
In fact for true motivation the 94 Medellin cartel controlled Colombian team. They truly evolved under that pressure right? Or did they just get literally murdered?
Donavan was a okay just average player good for concacaf. Dempsey was a better player for the mnt.
I love this show haven’t commented much but love the takes I think your takes are better than Landon’s
Do you think Messi coming to MLS will be a catalyst for the DP rule change that allows for more even distribution of salaries so our national league can finally get some professional players? Until then, none of our national team players, including the B team players, should ever consider coming back to MLS.
MLS is like the WNBA! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
He has to look at Taigo 45: Silva!
I think Luna is better than some of those scrubs.
3-1 USA
Great analysis on the Donovan comments. He's ridiculous
You shouldn't be talking about Reggie Cannon, Pete. You said Reggie Cannon and DeAndre Yedlin couldn't defend as well as a dog in a video, remember? You couldn't even play a rec game without tearing your ACL. Enough is enough from you.
Hmm, some real unfair criticism of MLS here. Pulisic would score 30-40 goals? "Terrible" league? I agree Landon's commentary was ridiculous and Pulisic should stay well clear, but this is hater level hyperbole.
Mo Edu played in the 2010 World Cup, btw
I'm no big fan of Landon, but what's the issue with a second team? I love Canada, but my second team is England … Canada VS England, I am still 100% Canada!!!
On TV last night, I heard Donovan's comment that Pulisic should come to MLS. It made my blood boil. Glad to see I wasn't the only one.
Loved Donavon as a player…as a pundit he is terrible. Dempsey my goat
