City have a good history with Bundesliga players. De Bruyne, Gundogan, Akanji, Halaand. I think Pavard will be a success. Probably won't be as good as Walker but I think he'll do a job none the less. He's also been used as a CB in a back 3 so maybe that's an option for Pep as well.
But overall I think City are getting rid of too many key players. Zinchenko, Sterling and Jesus last year. This year Gundogan, Walker and Cancelo with Berardo Silva also up in the air. World class players don't grow on trees and there's no guarantee the replacements will be just as good let alone an improvement. City will obviously be favorites for the EPL but I think they might have trouble holding onto the UCL. Gundogan and Walker were key last season especially at the business end of it.
