    Maximiliano Gómez González, better known simply as Maxi González (Spanish Maximiliano Gómez González; born August 14, 1996, Paysandu, Uruguay) is a Uruguayan footballer, striker of the Valencia club and the Uruguay national team. Participant of the 2018 World Cup.

    Gomez is a graduate of the Defensor Sporting Club. On October 4, 2015, in a match against the capital Nacional, he made his debut in the Uruguayan Example, replacing Facundo Castro in the second half. On October 17, in a duel against Montevideo Wanderers, Maximiliano scored his first goal for Defensor. In the first seven games, Gomez scored five goals.

    In the summer of 2017, Maximiliano moved to the Spanish Celta, signing a five-year contract. The transfer amount was 4 million euros. In the match against Real Sociedad, he made his debut in La Liga. In the same match, Gomez scored a double, scoring his first goals for Celta.

    On July 14, 2019, Gomez signed a five-year contract with Valencia. The compensation for the striker was 140 million euros.
