  1. Everyone says Di maria was the mistake. No the mistake was not bringing on Parades for De Paul ealier. The press was let up because De Paul was completely exhusted. That sub happens at around the 70 mins mark and Argentina win 2-0

  2. Something to mention about france goals is that they came from desperate long balls (even they can be called clearences) and one perfect corner kick (if you watch football you know it is hard to do this in only one corner kick) . Things like that happen in football and the team has to be prepared to face it. Being dominant and ahead doesn't mean you've won. Even if you're behind doesn't mean you have lost. Either way, we always say in Argentina "we may lose but we ain't giving anything for free". Thanks for the analysis. Hope you keep doing this !

  3. lol France desereve to win Fifa give world cup to Argintina for the eys Messi with fake penelities that were not even looked at by faver becuse it will be embarcing !!

  4. What's amazing about this channel is not many people in the world can understand the tactical and positional side of the game. It's quite intelligent and in depth. The average football fan is clueless as to the impact coaches have on the team strategy.

  5. France only lose cause of pressure. France have played 10Min and cole back from 2 goals. If this game did play in 1/8 1/4 1/2, infantino and messi only could cry. And i didnt even talk about this 3-3 with thus horrific DD dosasterclass during all the tournament

  6. Taking Di María out was a blunder. He was wrecking havoc. I would have played him until he got injured and then sub him out. It’s the final it’s not like you need him for the next game.

  7. It was only 30 minutes left on Di Maria’s last WC match… he should’ve stayed on, and the game would’ve been really different, the team strength was to play possession, not straight defense… I mean imo Scaloni made the same mistake with the Netherlands… the team deserved to win it between the 90

  8. Even if England has only one star, they have shown repeatedly that they have a much better appreciation for this sport than the French, who keep on whining about the final they deservedly lost. The whining didn't even stop months after the final, and the froggies keep on with their shameful sour grapes behavior, the French media keeps on trying to make Mbappe look better than Messi (which anyone with the most basic understanding of this game will find just ridiculous). All in all, France has proven to the world they might have two stars, but they still are a very small football nation…

  9. It's not relevant, but it's something that surprised me:

The genetic difference (we already know from their ethnic origins) of the majority of French players against that of the Argentine players was brutal and, however, the Argentines dominated.

Undoubtedly the French had more stamina and physical strength, but the Argentines knew how to placate that and resist.

    10/10

  10. This is make sense a lot. I remember that in the actual game, I can only recall Mbappe did something extraordinary. I don't recall any other player made significant moment, aside from him and maybe Kolo Muani. If not because of Mbappe's excellent performance, and Argentina player's nervousness, the game would've been over after Di Maria scored the second goal.

  11. I do think the otamendi mistake was what changed the whole game and the di maria sub it could’ve been Lisandro Martinez but imo leandro paredes was a great option as well instead of acuña to have more control of the ball again like in the Croatia game as that’s what they needed again Lisandro Martinez would’ve been good too tho imo

  12. he's the reason i started loving football and so glad he finally got the icening on the cake of achievements, he could legit retire now and still be the greatest for a couple decades atleast

  13. No team deserves nothing, there is no "we deserve" in a professional sport. You can play better or play worse (sometimes have lucky) than you rival, despite any effort, that's it. If someone says "we deserved to win, that's not fair" I would respond "stop crying and play better next time, no matter what".

  14. I don't completely agree with your analysis.
In particular, you seem to be saying that France's return was only due to DiMaria's exit, as if Deschamps had nothing to do with it. But that is completely false.

From the first change of Deschamps, DiMaria was no longer effective because Deschamps very quickly understood Scaloni's tactics.
Scaloni had seen particulary during France Morocco that Mbappé did not come to help Hernandez to defend on his side.

Scaloni used this weakness to attack on this side and create a surplus which forced the whole French team to move to come and defend on the right side and thus leave the whole left side free for DiMaria who took the opportunity to cause a penalty and score a goal.

Deschamps reacted very quickly by moving Mbappé on the center and putting Marcus Thuram on the side to help Hernandez defend. From then Argentina was no longer able to score until the end of regulation time, and DiMaria was no longer useful. He was blocked by the new positioning of Deschamps.

But if this reaction from Deschamps blocked the Argentinians, it did not allow France to takes control of the game and score. But at that time DiMaria was no longer useful.
What allowed France to score and come back was Deschamps' new tactical scheme.

By going from a 4-3-3 to a 4-4-2 he put more density in the middle which allowed France to take control of the game. And DiMaria's exit did not change anything because at that time it was already useless

  15. Messi is the best player in the world tactically and that always beats athleticism, Cristiano is definitely by far the most athletic player respectively. 😊

  16. Substituting Di Maria was a mistake. Argentina should have continued playing the way they were doing. They became defensive. First half, Argentina's pressing & attacking play didn't allow Mbappe to come into the picture. In the latter stages, they sat back & allowed France to attack with Mbappe. If you allow a player like Mbappe to attack you, he will score. This was the mistake Scaloni made. If France had won the shootout, then this would be the reason for Arg to have lost. Of course gave away a nonsensical penalty for France's third goal.

  17. This was no surprise, if you analyze copa America played earlier and see Argentina beating Brazil in the Maracaná, you will quickly realize how good scaloni is

  18. Scaloni swapped Di Maria for Acuña, and that was a mistake, he should've send Dybala or another forward instead
