It has been a very rocky transfer window so far with uncertainty being the centre of it, with FFP breathing down United’s neck and the owner situation dragging on for so long United have gone into the summer with a very limited budget which is frustrating when you see our direct rivals strengthening.
We made significant strides last year and was able to finish 3rd place, secure champions league football and win our first bit of silverware in half a decade but it was common knowledge that the club needed to build on that momentum with what was going to be one of our most important transfer windows in years where a clearing of deadwood was going to be vital in us garnering enough funds to fine tune the squad and start building towards being challengers again….
and the fact of the matter is there is a big expensive asset that is surplus to requirements that United are struggling to shop, a player who’s sale could be the difference between United making a pendulum swinging signing or not…. and that player is Jacob Harry Maguire.
