Pep Guadiola in Daily Record yesterday said average players can win a title once, but to win titles and trophies consistently requires far better players, and Pep mentioned Celtic's hegemony over Rangers to illustrate the point. I have major doubts that these signings are the "far better players" we need to displace Celtic and/or avoid thrashings in CL…and these are the measures to judge by.

I don’t think Sunderland are in for Danilo. They are fighting with Feyenoord over Diallo. Have you mixed this up?

Agree. Some signings will exceed expectations but others will disappoint. Football players are human beings.
