      Iranians boycotted these competitions and are not interested in their national team winning because the people of Iran are against the government of Iran in the midst of a revolution and the government politically exploits every possible victory to divert the minds of the people of the world to massacre the people inside Iran. Most of those who are in the stadium as Iranian spectators are either non-Iranian or government emissaries from Iran to show the world and pretend that the people of Iran are interested in the football team that represents the government. By giving money and its government flag to these people from the countries of Bangladesh, Pakistan, Arabs of Iraq, Palestine, etc., the government of Iran sends them to the stadium instead of the real people of Iran.

      Wales has a bigger talent pool than ppl imagine due to millions of English people having a Welsh grandparent.
      By rights we should be as good as Denmark or Croatia. Soo disappointed.

      Those people behind you holding iranian flags were not even iranian nationals. Islamic republic paid them to show up, because Iranian people boycotted the #teammelli in protest to the regime. You can find lots if videos of iranians cheering when England whooped the Iran team a few days ago.

      Nobody in Iran celebrated this win except government people because this team has been payed off by the Islamic regime to stay silent & don’t talk about what’s happening inside of Iran & the revolution. Thousand has been killed jailed, tortured & even raped & this team kept their mouth shut for the sake of money. They have sold they people out they have no respect in the eyes of Iranian people .
