Yair Rodriguez is about to enter the unification clash against Alex Volkanovski. It’s the perfect time to recall how masterfully Rodriguez toyed with the lives of his opponents throughout his arduous career.

  1. Fighters often with this style of fighting are difficult to deal with for sure but often struggle with wrestlers and people who push forward constantly

  2. The way you describe some of his victims as "anything but easy prey" is just dishonest. A lot of these guys were old AND heavily damaged from years of fighting. Despite Edgar's age disadvantage in the sport, he still managed to lose to Frankie Edgar. He still almost got KO'd by a very washed-up Jeremy Stephens. He even managed to get rocked by Emmett who no one gave a real shot at winning the fight, only managing to win by triangle. Triangles are Brian Ortega's specialty, he has the best triangle in the sport, and even he could not finish Volk with it. Moral of the story? The greatest featherweight of all time will come out on top.

  3. would so love to see Yair beat Volk this weekend and become undisputed FW champ. as great as Volk is i think Yair poses a greater threat than most people realize

  4. The fancy cartwheel kicks are cool and all but there's a reason why it hasn't gotten him a belt.
You're incredibly vulnerable when you miss (like 80% of the time)

  5. I really don't know where I stand on Yair v Volk! Seems very very silly not to choose Volk at this point but Yair just has "it" dude hits different quite literally & as they say, styles make fights!

  6. as much as I want Rodriguez to win, I don't see it happening. Volkan is very strong, hard punches and solid grappling game. Rodriguez weakness wrestlers most especially Volkan who is a strong wrestler, he can punch and kick very well. Rodriguez needs to use his advantage and quickness! avoid close encounters, pick him apart in and out! very interesting fight. dox is awesome! love your videos

  7. A lot of people talk trash about Tae-Kwon-Do. Practitioners who REALLY know and execute it as Rodriguez does, along with Ju Jitsu, are tough to beat.

  8. I can't forget what a classless little child he acted like after the Thompson fight. He is fun to watch but has no respect.
