Southgate is part of the problem with McGuire. Southgate says that he will only select players for England. When that player is playing regular football with his own club and also that player must be in top form. But what as Southgate done he's gone back on his so called tough talking. And reversed his own selection process. How he say that, and then pick McGuire for every game. Some McGuire know his England position is not threatened. And he knows Southgate is going to pick every game.

If Southgate told maguire you aren’t playing without regular football this would have been averted.

Nothing wrong of him to wanting to stay at Utd. If the club really wanted to get rid of him, it could had bought out his contract, pay him his remaining wages and bid him farewell right? He just wants to fight for his place and he'll be a gd squad player. One day Ten Hag wants McGuire, the next day he doesn’t then back again. Ten Hag doesn’t seem to know what a good player looks like. Example, we have Mount and Arsenal have Rice. Which of the two is better? Then Bayern take Kane and we pay Rashford ridiculous amounts. Which of the two is better? Then we get rid of De Gear, a proven premier league keeper, for an experiment in Onana. Which of the two is better?. All these are the most important positions in the team.
