Nini can't you see that these are just negotiation tactics? Chelsea are not stupid enough to let Mount leave on a free, he's clearly not signing the contract, so he's gonna end up leaving whether that's to United or Bayern

You are one of the BEST logical content creators on Chelsea. Even when I disagree I can understand how you got to your position. BUT on Mount you are being very emotional. Do you really think Mount didn’t want to go? You are quick to say how unfair we are to United but all my life there is a rival tax and an English tax. If Mount loves the club then why would he care if he isn’t moved? That’s a year more to enjoy his “boyhood club” and then he STILL gets to go to United for more money.
Your opinion is your own and you have the right, but call it down the middle. The owners are 100% wrong and Mount isn’t 100% right. I think Mount wanted more money than his production warrants, and that’s why he hasn’t gotten more offers. I think United is offering more and is the glamour team for a young star Englishman. @nini I usually agree with you on most things but I really feel like there is a missing piece to the mount story. I find it hard to believe that the club would price mount out of a move just to lose him on a free next summer. That goes against the plan and long term vision. Kai didn’t want to sign a new contract and they moved him out in a matter of day’s. Why would the sporting directors be so messy with a cobhum grad ?specially one that has wan two player of the season awards. It seems like a really easy way to piss off the fanbase. My guess is Todd stupidly promised mount a crazy contract that clearly didn’t fit the new club structure. Everyone of us fans including you was surprised by the contract these guys are signing. Like, Reece on 250 a week? don’t tell me Madrid or city, united or even Newcastle wouldnt give him more to join their respective clubs. I think Mounts reps have a part to play in this too. Stretching the negotiations this far and creating this much bad publicity is such a high risk for both the club and Mount. My hypothesis is Mount doesn’t want to take one for the team (which is fine, these guys are only footballers for so long if money is important then how are we to tell mount to leave any on the table) but let’s not pretend like the club didn’t make offers since last summer trying to get him to sign. Now that they have stopped is when you bring up the fact that no new offers have come in. Fam everyone is hurt and shocked that it has come to this and everyone expresses that differently.
