Does Jesús Ferreira receive too much hate?
first. GO USA 🇺🇸 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🎉🎉
He does. He’s a solid third option behind Balogun and Pepi.
He will gain respect when he scores outside of MLS and Concacaf. Not before then.
It's funny, I think if Jesus was playing in Europe and he still had the same stats, it would be worse. It would show then that he is underachieving. Plus, I'm sure Alexi would be giving him just as much hate as the fans do now.
Jesus does receive too much hate. He doesn't ask to be called up to the National team, he accepts the invite as he should and he plays. Why hate him? Sure you can be upset with the coaching staff for calling him up, but to hate the players is idiotic. I hope he does go to the Eredivisie or even Ligue 1 I think he could do well over there. I think the fan base forgets he is only 22. But I do think he should make a move after this MLS season.
He's a good player, one that should be competing to start international matches as he already does. I just don't understand for the life of me how he's rated, and even spoken about more, over dudes who imo are clearly better fits against the physical backlines elite international teams have. He was simply nowhere to be found in the Netherlands game except for some photos with dejected body language. Please understand: I think he will be very good, he's a constant pest and eternal threat in MLS, he's extremely skilled. I just think he gets rated on "One day he'll play like this" instead of "he's the type of player we need leading the front line right now". I'm rooting for him to develop a little more tooth in general, while being brave and bold on the ball.
