Known for mining in the MLS trading market, Montréal brought in midfielder Bryce Duke and Costa Rican international forward Ariel Lassiter from Herons. On the way from CFM to Miami are Canadian international defender Kamal Miller and his $1.3 million General Allocation Money . The selling club keeps a percentage of the sale for each player involved in the trade. The highlight of the trade could be Miller, who represented Canada at the 2022 FIFA World Cup and was last year’s MLS All-Star. The 25-year-old can start at Miami’s centre-back, along with Ukrainian international Sergii Kryvtsov, who is off-season from Shakhtar Donetsk. He has also been successful on international stage, including the biggest stage of World Cup. “Furthermore, this trade gives us the flexibility to continue making exciting moves in the near future and further strengthen our roster.” Duke and Lassiter must offer Montréal options in the offensive phase after scoring just three goals in their first six games with new coach Hernan Losada. Duke has 1g11a in 61 games with LAFC and Inter Miami, while Lassiter has 8g6a in 97 games with LA Galaxy, Houston Dynamo FC and Inter Miami. How do the players adapt?
