I think Mourihno was right despite the two mistakes, we were the better team in the second half. we had better chances, had one of those gone in, it would've been a different game. ivanovic gifted them two goals
basically squad depth is very much needed
We need Witsel, Pedro/Griezmann and Stones. Can't trust Matic to boss the midfield on his own especially in big games so witsels addition would provide a solid defensive midfield pairing. Our defence is very slow. A back four of Baba, Zouma, Stones and Dave would be quite formidable now and in the future. We lack match winners Pedro/Griezmann, hazard and willian would be a great attacking 3 to possess.
I know its not going to happen, but Griezmann is PERFECT! Takes the pressure off Fabregas, Hazard and Costa, makes us a bit more unpredictable, and very versatile. He can play behing a striker, LW, RW and as a striker himself.
We should have kept LUIS!
i would try oscar in cdm with the matic because he is much better defencefly than fabregas
why waste 34 mill on stones when we have Zouma? yea he is English but he is not good enough. we can use 34 mil to get a good midfielder

Utd seems to be ironing out a deal for Pedro.. all the other contenders have massively reinforced..i think it could soon be clear that Chelsea is simply out of league race.. unless 2 more signings are made. A defender and a midfielder.

Other than getting John Stones (hopefully will happen) im quite content with the squad we already have and think we should show more faith in the players already at our disposal. Im not going to get carried away with worry about the first 2 results as despite those I still feel we have a fantastic squad and are still the team to beat.
The biggest problem for me as to our short comings in recent weeks is nothing more than down to our ridiculously put together pre season fixtures. Loving the show by the way guys, keep up the great work 🙂
Who said Fabregas was poor defensively in the game? Did you see how many good tackles he made in the second half. Come on mate. Fabregas was better than Matic defensive wise in second half. Matic was trying to dribble whenever he got the ball.

Nobody could wish for a better midfield, with the power of Matic and the Box2box skills of Witsel. I know its just game 2, and we do not need to stress yet, but we are getting close to the transfer stop. We need to go and get Witsel today !
I'm worried about Hazard. If we don't get someone on the right that plays as well as him (e.g. Pedro, Griezmann), he might leave. I know he makes a ridiculous salary at the Chels but I could see him going to Real Madrid (better football and even more money) or Bayern (better football, less likely) if his talents aren't complemented on the right. He needs pressure taken off of him. I love Willian but his final ball has been poor. He's supposed to be more of a traditional winger bombing down the flank and getting crosses in but he's been struggling with the final ball.
