  1. Disc golf prices are inflated, just like DGN, in comparison to other pro sports networks and venues.

This is because DG is still riding the 2020 wave and have far less fan support.

So rather than natural, organic growth that takes longer… they subject the lesser audiences to larger costs to continue rising the wave of promotion.

The MLB can charge less $ a ticket because they have more fan purchases, and pro stadiums are often purchased via taxpayer money.

  2. Paul, Terrible take on spit outs. Your saying it was her fault because she hit the center of the target? We need to start saying the targets are flawed not the putt

  3. Would Matty O be talked about as much if he wasn’t as consistent in his finishes but had won on the pro tour once or twice? I think consistent golf is the goal not just winning a tournament or two

  4. During a job interview with Jeff Spring/DGPT end of 2019 I suggested portable modular dwellings such as the "ablenook". These can be for the players so that every course will have a "club house" they can go to in bad weather BUT also they can act as areas for fans to go and watch LIVE action out of the heat for awhile, grab a drink, etc etc. They seemed to use most of my other ideas from that interview but this one I guess was too ahead of its time. 🤦‍♂

  5. In another interview, Parker said that once he drained the eagle on 14 that he didn't feel like anyone could beat him. Great confident attitude!

  6. I don’t wanna take anything away from Parker because he may have won regardless, day 2 hole 14 on coverage he did not make it inbound so at best he should have made par but possibly bogey
Maybe a different story would be told maybe Calvin doesn’t go aggressively on 14 round 3

  7. Every basket beside the Mach X has the ability to push a putt back at you with my experience. I average about 100 putts a day per week and go back and forth with soft and hard putters because of this but no matter what, it is the crappiest feeling to have a basket reject a putt right back at you.

  8. In golf, if you hit a tap in putt as hard as you would hit a 30-foot lag putt, the ball is bouncing off the lip of the hole and going 30 feet. Not a single golfer is saying, "I hit the center of the hole what happened" if they hit a putt way too hard. Something that is true with disc gold baskets is that each type of basket has a sweet spot for speed. The lighter the chains the slower the putt needs to be. If there were consistent baskets on the pro tour, it would at least allow players to learn to control speed.

  9. Do putters cause spit outs and not the basket? I use soft putters and I never get spit outs. I see a lot of spit outs where a firm putter hits the pole really hard and it spits out.

  10. Love the pod but i was disappointed in the Hailey king interview. As someone who consumes a lot of disc golf content, I've hardly ever seen her in a conversation type format. This was my chance to get to know her as a person but all the questions were just disc golf related. You usually don't avoid the hardball or more interesting questions but her interview was soft in my opinion.

  11. I would be ok if he had been on top 10 or something before but his performance this week was something special. talking about Parker

  12. Brody, what is holding you back as a player now? I think its your aim? You tend to have a nice putt, but you miss on a few shots a round which cause you to totally lose out. Any chance we will see more conservative play to score round 1 then attack when you feel ready?

  13. I went to the Open at Austin and paid for VIP. For the money I paid, I felt like the only things missing were the ability to buy alcohol(they did give away beer one day for a short bit) and another food truck option. I think a speed gun would have definitely been a fun addition. Grand stands for hole 18, I think on any course is a must.

  14. I have to give some support to the props they are giving Des Moines and the local support for DMC — when watching first round yesterday on DGN, the energy of the spectators was just UP! You can feel the energy from the gallery being higher than many other tourneys even watching online when I'm not there in person.

  15. Re Maple Hill, it looks like a great course on TV and I'd love to go play it, but just looking on TV / DGN the Fox Run / Brewster courses and the Krokhol Norway course both look better to me than Maple Hill.
