We judged our number 1 GK when we bought him and everyone were saying his not good enough look at him now let’s give this keeper a chance then we see now his one of our own and we got his back welcome to Arsenal Matt
The vid didn't really show many aspects of a goalkeepers game, like catching crosses, sweeping-keeping, picking players out by throwing the ball, passing it from the back under pressure, and straight up kicking it long, but from what I see, he seems a decent enough keeper… drops one too many shot that should be caught, and is a bit conservative in going at the striker in 1 in 1, leaving less space covered, maybe because of lacking in the footwork department and being scared he'll get dribbled around, dunno, but still pretty decent, can save a penalty that's for sure, so could be useful in a cup competition no doubt…
But yeah, if I were to guess I'd still bet on him really being bought to be a 3rd choice goalkeeper, and Leno being replaced in the summer by a more high-profile goalie intended to be the direct back-up for Ramsdale, still, could be very useful to have around and allow both Hein and Okonkwo to go on loans and get the needed experience that way for 2-3 years really, in order to fulfill their vast potentials and avoid a situation like we have right now where Okonkwo is staying at the club just training and nothing but, just to be the 3rd choice in case both Ramsdale and Leno are out injured at some point, given how specific a job being a goalie is.
Not like its like with any other position on the pitch, say right-back, where if Tomiyasu and Soares are both injured you can just play White there and still be fine for the most part, here you'd lose quite a lot of quality in what is a vital position if you lacked that 3rd choice specialist, i.e. a goalie, so it does make sense, and he seems good enough for an odd League Cup game for sure… I've no doubts he'll make his strides forward training with the super-talented bunch at Colney, and being taught by top class coaches, so its a win for him by being put in an environment that enables richer opportunities for personal growth, and its a win for us too, a decent 3rd choice goalie, a presence that allows Hein and Okonkwo the opportunity to fully develop, and not to mention, and American guy in the squad, something the Kroenke's, and the people in the US, a quickly awakening, yet largely untapped market of potential fans, might be fond of too. 🙂

As someone who has played in goal for years I think he looks good. He steadies himself well and sets his position brilliantly when in one on one situations. He’s also quick to react when making a save to make sure he’s there for the 2nd attempt. His reactions look on point. What we could do with in a highlights video for the modern keeper is to see what his distribution is like, as that’s important when playing out from the back 👍🏻 (man United fan)
I actually came to see this after seeing giving a warning to Ramsdale a.k.a the beast 😂😂😂, he is our new signing but i don't see him competing with Ramsdale, unless if he's injured.
Rather have keep the keeper we have right now

What an utter crap video. We aren't just looking for his ball stopping capabilities . How is his high ball collecting, distribution, distribution under pressure, one on one's etc..

A very good goalkeeper. Extremely good agility, reflex, positioning, shot stopping and command of in the box. Almost the complete keeper when he improves on his handling. Nice Matt Turner. I'm sure he'd be a Gunners legend in the making. 💪🏻

Think he looms good overall but it seems he has problems with crosses and rebounds balls that other keepers can catch…

Not once have I seen him deal with a cross, most of the saves are brilliant saves but still around shot stopping. The English game is really going to question his decision making , game intelligence, that’s where the game has extended now for Gks . Precision in goal kicks, playing a high line to show your ability with feet, precision in communication, tone in communication.
Sorry to say some of those shots can be stopped by my grandmother and she doesn’t even need to dive
