Such a shame how the fans disrespected de gea and forced him out the club
Why not trigger DDG's 1 year clause, then sell him for a fee? To prevent him leaving for nothing. He's still a top keeper & I think a club out there would pay 40M for him. Maybe a Saudi club
Onana leaving Ajax was messy.
Injuries. Taking a pill from his wife (wft?) a pill
that contained apparently for a small part an illegal substance 12 mo. Suspention. Reaching agreement to tranfer to Lyon. And finally leaving as a free agent to Inter.
Great goal keeper, bit not liked much anymore in Amsterdam.
The relationship between Ten Hag and Onana is bad bc of Onana's refusal to extend his contract at Ajax when Ajax backed him in his abused substances ban.
Onana for me we need ready to go keeper now ,especially now we're in the Champions league
I'll be extremely happy with either Costa or Onana as both are 2 of the best modern day goalkeepers out there. I do prefer Costa as i think his all round game is slightly better than Onana's plus Costa is younger aswell but I've got a gut feeling that Ten Hag prefers Onana which is understandable considering they used to work together for many years at Ajax. What's important tho is either would be a significant upgrade on De Gea which will allow Ten Hag to implement his style from playing out from back aswell as allow us to play a high line which allows us to press further high up the pitch. Either keeper would really transform our squad.

I would like to give Da gea some credit, but i will choose Onana .
He will get caught in premier league regularly
Hi Sam, have you looked at Unai Simon of Spain? No one is talking about him I believe he’s one to consider as well. Check him out if you haven’t already.
While everyone might be only concentrating on the technical skills, it is also worth taking into consideration Onana's attitude issues. He was sent home midway through the FIFA WC due to a dispute with the coach. While this might be a one off disciplinary instance in his career, it was a very serious one. The 9 month ban for taking an unauthorized drug was also another instance but might have been more of an accidental case than a deliberate one. ETH is very particular about maintaining discipline in the team and united right now needs disciplined players free from any such issues.
Costa if we can afford him, younger player with more time to work on becoming the goalie ETH needs and he's Portugal's keeper which means he already plays with Bruno & Dalot and other Portuguese speaking players in Case & Antony.
@UnitedPeoplesTV what about Valencia keeper Mamardashvili? He might be a good option too, especially prose wise

I don't know much about all 3 choices, but where we criticise de gea, are there any areas that the 3 named goalies struggle? Are they often caught on the ball playing up high? Passing quality? Etc.
As much as I agree we need a new goalkeeper, I don't always believe the grass is greener.
