  1. I had a room-mate in San Diego in the early 2000s who played on Herc's indoor(?) team there. The coach's selection of players didn't include a bunch of guys who my room-mate thought were better than the eventual squad, and he described the coach as a moron on general. Those two groups ended up scrimmaging a couple of times and the starters+ were utterly destroyed both times by the cast-offs.

Gregg reminds me of that coach. All 3 of those players are probably gone. GB has the unerring ability to look at any two players across multiple comparisons, to pick the worse of the two, then plug that worse player into the worst possible tactical scenario for him to play in.

  2. Musa scally and pepi are not better than their counter part but those are quality subs that should be getting consistent minutes a privilege to have as options

  3. It’s a rough thing to say but for our team to truly make noise and win highly competive games both at Copa America and the WC we need to start gio Weston at the 8s and musah as a 6. Although Tyler did a very good job at the World Cup and as an extremely defensive CDM at leeds, he is not going to be a player that propels us past the round of 16 or round of 8. Musahs ability to seemlessly initiate counters, control the tempo from the back and show the work ethic to recover defnesively and get stuck in just makes him a more complete option. The front five of balo, CP, weah, Weston and gio should be written down in pen.

  4. Family drama aside, Reyna is a must for our team moving forward, however I really did like him in that CAM type position that he played against mexico and canada

  5. It's safe to say everyone's stock went up, except maybe Aaronson or Zimmerman. Those two stocks didn't go down, just not up. Everyone else more or less cemented their role in the starting line up.

  6. Do we trust that GGG will even be willing to play Gio at midfield where he belongs? To this point he has always played him on the wing.

  7. Why is everyone praising Scally??? Sure he held his own against Alphonso Davies for less than 20 minutes, but after that, he was truly abysmal! Every attack came down Canada’s right wing; he was burned by speed a few times, didn’t go up for any headers, and overall, I have no idea how he’s on a Bundesliga side!!!

  8. You can also just play with 4 in the middle if you really need MMA in the middle. Play like Milan in mid 2000s, very compact, especially with backs that get forward well. Play with MMA, 3 ball winners, and Reyna in front of them with a lot of freedom.
