  1. England farce, always get fodder groups, which doesn't test any flaws of sothgatte defencive mindset, found wanting after qualification their is nothing exciting about general play. Portugal Spain Belgium France etc yes.

  2. Southgate isn't savvy enough to win trophies, Arnold midfield wtf did he get that from, Bellingham good and rice OK, there is no architect to direct play a Gerrard, schotes, Carrick ronney, where's your Beckham, gazza or Butcher proper leader.

  3. He is good player but i dont understand why we need to buy him 50m only for chelsea to get caiceido. We should go for caiceido straight and mount could come next summer for free or cheaper in janurary. I dont understand why we helping rivals to get better quality.

  4. Such a stupid signing and I’m confused how nobody is seeing that. This club will never get to the top with these silly decisions. Can’t believe we’re warranting these signings. Disastrous.

  5. Trying to sell Mason Mount as similar to Frankie De Jong is nasty business. The manager needs critique. These transfers are idiotic and no one is holding him responsible.

  6. It makes sense because our club is trash and has no chance at winning anything. Bang average player that will fit in with the rest of the bang average players at the club. I am a United fan but we got to be realistic as the club and players are radioactive trash! Clean out everybody and start again with Qatari money and management.

  7. Lampards opinion worries me more so than I already was. Not a fan of this potential signing at all. Eriksen still better than him

  8. I do not think it makes sense really. For example, Rio was saying we could get a number 8 in as an upgrade on Eriksen, even though Rio was careful to point out Eriksen is not bad at all (just that 8 is a key position worth spending the big money on). I am not sure Mount is an upgrade on Eriksen. I am not sure if he is even an upgrade on Fred — Fred in good form at least, e.g., those goals and assists this year.

P.S. You keep saying Mount is above average at this or that. MUFC needs to go for a bit better than above average if we are going to stay in the top four, let alone win the league. Genuine gem? I am sure lots of scouts look at Mount, but where's all the bids for him. Do they not see a gem there too? I might be proven wrong, but I would bet a wee bit that if we sign him he will be nothing special comparative to what we need in midfield.

Re. Glazers and the sale. Looking at Mount reminds me of the kind of electric guitar kit I look at when I do not have loads of dosh, but I'm itching to buy something to solve an audio problem, or give me the sound I am after. I go for value on a budget, instead of higher tier stuff I get other times. Mount seems like buying Marks and Spencer trainers, instead of Adidas or whatever.

  9. Another way to look at Mount’s place in the squad is as a direct replacement for Fred in the big games. Fred plays ahead of Erickson in some of our bigger games (City, Liverpool, Barcelona, etc) because of his work rate and not because of his end product. Mount has the same if not better tenacity in the final third with far better attacking output. In that context, Mount makes absolute sense to me as a transfer target

  10. Is Mount an exciting signing? Does it make you feel more optimistic about next season? Is he a step up in quality for our midfield?

  11. The comparison with Eriksen is misleading as Eriksen was not signed to play the 8 but as cover elsewhere De Jong was the player wanted.Eriksen was tried there is the preferred system in the 2 games Brighton and Brentford we know what happened
You should compare Mount with other players buyable Other YouTubers have and most are as good some better and all cheaper

  12. Come on man you can’t put mount and de Jong in the same bracket United need both type of players along with 3 or 4 more

  13. Again if the talks about FFP are right , signing MM for 50 to 80 m does not make sense. Especially for a squad player of the team that finished 12th. If it was 30 to 40m at most it makes sense this sum does not make sense use that money to get Kane even if its the only signing of the transfer windows we need a player with 20/25+ goals in the Prem.

  14. I'll be blunt. I couldn't give a flying fuck what the manager wants. History repeats its self over & over. He should have an input yes. But we'll never go anywhere long term when we buy randoms managers want only to be left with a squad full of flops/speicfic system players that the old manager and & the new manager hates. We need a proper strategy & hierarchy in place for hte long run & to regain an ounce of dignity in buying & crucially selling players. We were shite even under fergie

  15. Mason Mount. 24 yrs old.
    • Chelsea Academy Player of the Year: 2016–17
    • UEFA European Under-19 Championship Team of the Tournament: 2017
    • UEFA European Under-19 Championship Golden Player: 2017
    • Vitesse Player of the Year: 2017–18
    • Eredivisie Team of the Year: 2017–18

    • Chelsea Player of the Year Runner-Up during his debut 1st Team Year 2019-2020. His goal & assist on the last EPL game got Chelsea Top 4  that got them UCL spot the next season

    • Chelsea Player of the Year: 2020–21. This is the year Chelsea won the Champions League vs Man City.
    • Goal at UCL Quarterfinals vs Porto.
    • Goal at UCL Semi-Finals vs Real Madrid.
    • Assist at the only UCL goal in the Finals where Chelsea won the Champions League.

    • UEFA Champions League Squad of the Season: 2020–21

    • Premier League Academy Graduate of the Year: 2020–21

    • Ballon d'Or nomination at #19

    • Chelsea Player of the Year: 2021–22. He has 13 goals & 16 assists. Chelsea 3rd at EPL table.  He is also only the 3rd Englishman to score at Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu Stadium at the UCL quarterfinals. This is the year Chelsea had sanctions related to Abramovich.

    • 2022–23 Season. 2x Man of the Match at UCL games vs AC Milan (despite only playing 1st 45 mins)  and Dinamo Zagreb. He was injured from March to end of season. This is the season when Chelsea had new owners, 4 managers and Club in chaos.

    • Always played & loved by his managers: from Frank Lampard, Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter and Gareth Southgate.

    • Had interest from Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Bayern Munich + Pochettino wants him to stay at Chelsea… down to contract negotiations where he seeks parity with peers (has been one of the lowest paid players at Chelsea since 2019 when he joined i.e. £80K pw vs many others earning £200-£325 K/wk).

    • Before end of last season, Mount's party confirmed that he preferred Manchester United move as Ten Haag had the clearest plan for him.  They informed other interested clubs.  So Liverpool went for other targets; and  Arteta now went for Havertz instead.
