      Phillips was injured for a significant part of the season, when most of the early round cup games were played, which Pep would have likely played him in, to bed him in to the team. By the time he was fit to play, City were playing crunch games in every competition going for the Treble. That’s not a time to bed a player in.

      People forget that Stones as a Traditional CB was washed a year ago. Now look at him, he is one of the first on the team sheet. Given time, Phillips has every chance of being a part of this City team.

      almost every player that comes to City needs a year to get in rhythm of the system. almost every player that comes here doesnt play the first year and Kalvin was injured
