Okay but let’s be honest, Courtois has probably been the most effective player in Belgium despite de bruyne being in there. He almost never lets Belgium down while the same can’t be said for other players.
That being said, I don’t think he should be captain based on his behavior but you need to work it out with him. He’s the best goalkeeper in the world and causing a divide won’t do your team any good unless you are planning to replace him and freeze him out of the National team. There’s also a reason why he came to the coach personally and didn’t cause a scene in front of others so as to not make a fuss, but instead it was spread to the public for the masses to witch hunt him
