  1. Manchester United have held talks with Burnley over a loan move for Wout Weghorst and he is keen to join in January, with Erik ten Hag pushing for the deal to be done.

Here's everything you need to know about the breaking news of United trying to sign Weghorst.

  2. He's gonna add another dimension to our attack. ETH is a tactical genius. Makes spot on decisions with in game subs that impacts games positively. I think he's on the money here. He knows what he wants. Going by his track record o recruitment so far I don't doubt ETH st all. He would make good use of this man like Haller at Ajax. We don't buy superstar individual players anymore. We buy elite team players.

  3. Speak about Marcus Thuram he is a great option who can easily fit with the ten hag systems plus he also brings a bit of physicality in the team in the front line which would help to pin down the defence line @UnitedPeoplesTV……
    Happy New Year

  4. Don't know much about him, but he didn't work out at Burnley. I understand why we don't want to make a permanent move for players we don't necessarily want long term. I would rather we wait and get that player over the summer. Weghorst is at least a true #9 and would give us something we don't currently have in the squad, a target striker. It's certainly not a deal that's going to make us title contenders, but short term may help us improve our chances for top 4.

  5. Wout Weghorst has an elite mentality, if you look at how he started, he was very much a super hard worker over talent. Only got his first professional contract at 20, at a second division club in the Netherlands. Did very well, moved to AZ Alkmaar, did okay there aswell for two seasons, and moved to Wolfsburg where he was the number 9, after Lewandowski, in the Bundesliga.
It is said that he very much values teamplay, that he would send messages very late into the night to his Burnley teammates to better their link-up and teamwork, and this coupled with his work ethic and mentality is something Ten Hag very much values. I am an Ajax fan and I can tell you the way he and his team worked to improve players is insane, a West Ham flop Haller became the absolute top scorer in the Champions League, previously only scored 2 goals in 1 season for West Ham. Look at what he did with Rashford, arguably better than ever, Shaw is playing brilliantly, and performs the same kind of role Blind did for Ten Hag at Ajax. Even bloody Mctominay improved after the Liverpool game, against Arsenal he was one of the best players in the field! Now I don't think Weghorst will suddenly transform into a Haller, but I do think people underestimate Weghorst and genuinly believe he can be the 'Luuk de Jong' for United that De Jong was for Barca: A clutch player. Showed it against Argentina aswell.

  6. Trust me when I say Wout Weghorst will work his ass off for United. He is definetily not the type of world class star you think of for a club like United. But his mentality is exactly what u need right now. Honestly think he will surprise everyone. Missing link type player. He is also kinda insane on the pitch, he will fight till death if he needs to win lol (just my humble dutch opinion)

  7. We all know that EtH didnt want Wout Weghorst but he has no choice because he isnt even backed for a cheap 37M Gakpo when we clearly need more players up front and they dont give him a dime to get one.

  8. Stop being afraid, Weghorst fits perfectly in this transition MU. Part of the squad don''t really understand the concept of Ten Hag s style. Now the mix between the english players adopting to the style, but still stock in a poor attacking style, mixed with the opportunistic attackers like Anthony, Malacia, Martinez, Casemiro, will be more balanced. Modern mixed with traditional. Now Anthony can get forward, Casemiro, Martinez, Malacia can launch Weghorst who knows what to do. He is made to fit in and boost the team. Good move. No nonsense player. Smart player. Teamplayer. Alert. Like Martinez up front.

  9. I am a Dutchman and I have often seen him play for AZ Alkmaar and he almost went to Ajax, eventually he left for Germany to Wolfsburg. I can tell you one thing. This man is a late bloomer and a fighter for the team. Only a few analysts didn't like him, but his fighter mentality got him this far. If he hears that Manchester United are interested, you have a striker who will do everything for the team and completely efface himself for the team. He is a real team player.

  10. Please God not a Depay return….Anyone but him!!! Been there done that, lots of posturing no end product, waste of time and money…
Surely we wouldn't do it all over again 😫😫😫

  11. What people forget about Weghorst is that he has been always underestimated at every club he went to. People thought he was not good enough, but everywhere he went he scored 1 goal every 2 games, which is not a bad stat for a striker. Hell he even scored 2 against Argentina in the world cup, because he kept believing in it. He is someone who plays with a lot of passion. Regarding the Burnley thing. Burnley is a club who played defensive at their own half. If you play more forward he will get more changes hence more goals. He will suprise you i am sure.

  12. Weghorst has the ‘grinta’ mentality of leaving it all on the field. Great at pressing which is what Ten Hag wants out if his attackers & Ajax ETH excelled with Haller as the target man who either sends the wingers deep or poaches around the box

  14. The great thing about this player is his name…. Lets sign him… And 1.97 meters…. Hope he is cheap…
… As ur first signing post CR7….

  15. I love how the english media is clueless over what ManU are doing and have all fallen for the "We don't have money" it's all a smoke screen and possible the best tactical move ManU has done in 25-30 years, they are wanting to get rid of the "ManU Tax" and playing the same game LFC as done for the last 10 years by saying "We don't have the money" then go out and the players they want for less or with no Tax and the media outlet has fallen for it, which means it's working! Plus ETH want's to get rid of the stupid salery theyve been paying players in the past 10years!

  16. I’ll be chuffed if we get this lad in. Nothing but good things to say about him after his performances in the World Cup. I think he’d be a great option
