  1. This is what chatgpt 4 says:

The team you've mentioned is made up of players who were either pundits or employees for ESPN. It's important to note that these players were not necessarily top-level professionals throughout their careers, but they have all played professional football. Here's a brief rundown of their careers:

    1. Jan Aage Fjørtoft: A former Norwegian international striker with an extensive career in England and Germany.

    2. Alejandro Moreno: A former Venezuelan international who had a solid career in Major League Soccer.

    3. Alessandro Del Piero: An Italian World Cup winner and Juventus legend, one of the greatest forwards of his generation.

    4. Craig Burley: A former Scottish international midfielder, who had a decent career in England and Scotland, notably with Chelsea and Celtic.

    5. Luis Garcia: A former Spanish international midfielder, best known for his time at Liverpool where he won the UEFA Champions League.

    6. Don Hutchison: A former Scotland international who had a successful career in England with clubs like West Ham and Everton.

    7. Kieran Gibbs: An England international left back who had a long career at Arsenal before moving to West Bromwich Albion.

    8. Nedum Onuoha: A former England U21 international who played the majority of his career for Manchester City and QPR.

    9. Frank Leboeuf: A World Cup-winning French international, best known for his time at Chelsea.

    10. Steve Nicol: A former Scottish international and Liverpool legend, part of the team that dominated English football in the '80s.

Given that these players are from different generations and had varying skill levels, it's quite hard to definitively say how they would have done in the Premier League during their primes. However, considering the quality of some of the individuals on this list (Del Piero, Garcia, Leboeuf), you might expect them to be competitive.

That being said, the Premier League is extremely tough and success requires not only talented individuals but also a cohesive unit with great chemistry, strategic management, depth in the squad to handle injuries and fatigue, etc.

So while a few players in this lineup had very successful careers at the top level (like Del Piero, Garcia, Leboeuf, Nicol, and Fjørtoft), others did not reach the same heights. This imbalance would likely affect the hypothetical team's success. Therefore, it's safe to assume this team, while having some top talent, probably wouldn't challenge for the title, but could possibly aim for a mid-table finish given their collective experience and talent. However, this is a speculative scenario and in football, anything can happen!

  2. This is my comfort show. Y’all do such a good job of making me laugh and smile and just know I appreciate all of y’all. Especially Craig’s attitude 🤣🤣

  3. Because Chelsea ruined every young talent to walk through their doors. Don’t see why that would change anytime soon

  4. Pulisic should find a team in the championship where he can play week in week out like Josh Sargeant, he is good enough to stand out in that league if he's willing to roll his sleeves up

  5. That’s a lie he normally played well… like I said these days it’s all about goals. He is more of a key player who can take on player et. Just need more game time

  6. Pep influenced the Spains World Cup win when left Spain he influenced the Germany World Cup win when he left both nations become terrible. Pep has evolved his coaching style they have not and he has taken football forward again. England is the only country that won’t win the World Cup with pep in the league as the is no English team that has a core of English football players coached by pep and they they don’t have an English manager that is tactically astute, apart from Howe at Newcastle. The amount of foreign players and money involved in the EPL makes almost impossible for them to have a good English national team.

  7. Isn't extratime the name of the official MLS podcast? How hard would it be to come up with a different name for this segment instead of just copying?

  8. simple answer that's common sense:
he's the main guy with USMNT, but he's not good enough to start for EPL team chelsea
    same thing with other players
he has the confidence knowing he's the best player on the US team, completely different dynamic with chelsea, he has to be his best knowing others are better than him slightly
fact that he's at chelsea is an accomplishment for US soccer regardless it's a great thing

  9. 1. Concacaf competition is worse
    2. Usmnt asked him to do different things than Chelsea. Especially under BJ.
    3. Everyone was bad for Chelsea

  10. No one plays well at Chelsea because they are awful. How do you expect to play well in a team with zero tactical presence attacking wise. It doesn't help when you have 3 new managers in a short time span, an owner and GM that just buy random players for as much money as possible, and then just expect to win games.

Pulisic needs to get out of there. As soon as Tuchel left they were finished. He will thrive at any other attacking and pressing team.

  11. I’m hoping Poch can utilize Pulisic. He’s a player I would potentially put in the sphere of Salah and KDB—a player we didn’t give a proper chance we will regret selling.

  12. Criticisim about his confidence when hebis given minutes in the 80th minute and still soarks more than the entire attacking from for the previous 80 minutes. He still doesnt see minutes because chelsea is floundering regardless to how puli plays is just a garbage analysis

  13. Christian doesn’t play well for team USA. He’s all dribble no finish. If he does finish it’s easy tap ins that most amateur players can do with their eyes closed. He actually needs to be on the bench when Tyler Adams gets healthy.
Gio is the future of this team and team USA would win the World Cup building around Gio.

  14. Berhalter out! Matt Crocker out! The entire board out! I am no longer a usmnt supporter. Thanks craig for calling them out. I am officially only a liverpool supporter. I will no longer support the usa team. The federation is a disgrace in a bubble of nepotism and corruption. The boaard behind all the public people need to step down as well. I am out.

  15. Those talking bad about Havertz, there is your answer. THE PROBLEM IS CHELSEA, NOT PLAYERS. How do you have 4 coaches in one season? And bring in 8players in January? Shambolic!!!

  16. It's an illusion. The quality of the teams and their respective competitions differ greatly. His quality has not varied, the talent pool he's standing in with the USMNT and CONCACAF is shallower than with Chelsea and Premier League, so he stands out more, that's all.

  17. He doesn't pay that lackluster at Chelsea. He gets brought in for 10 minutes at a time. Whenever he had a good consistent run he played well. He is the only player on the squad that knows how to make dangerous runs. Best for him to move on though because Chelsea have too many good players and Pulisic gets hurt too much.
