Do you think maybe he could loose a bit of agility? Or mobility? Midfielders need feints and turning speed more than linear speed
It’s also stamina, it’s not the same to move 60kg for 90 mins than moving 55kg
Love pedri with all my heart and i like pedri how he is and pedri is a amazing player and I believe in in pedri he is going to play good
If he loses a bit of speed the strength and conditioning staff imo didn’t have a well put plan for a player of this caliber however if that said plan includes regaining speed or slightly improve while having this new weight then that changes my view on how the plan was put together. Only time will tell
I very much doubt he lost much speed, stamina or agility.
I think with most athletes unless you stopped playing your sport and just lifted weights for a period. No plyometrics no sprints no conditioning etc you’d get slower, less agile and less fit.
But I’m a program where there’s things are covered. Your playing football often, lifting weights to get stronger, plyometrics, sprints some conditioning you’ll be fine
And in Pedri’s case as an elite athlete I doubt he’ll have any trouble
the amount of muscles he’s gained since his last injury is just insane!! he’s literally shredded
