Elliots next level will be very exciting. His lack of pace is a big problem for him but his game intelligence is very impressive
Nunez needs big pre season
Liverpool fans get carried away with big transfer fees not a surprise most of the record signings never work out over history
To be honest the team with the best players and best manager will always win trophies. We are blessed to have a manager like Klopp, but in reality speed conquer talent and Harvey is to slow and have no vision to play a long ball like Trent and playing up front you have to be fast, and speed is the reason Nunez will always be a danger for defenders and he will always score goals and have chances to score. And Harvey's dribbling abilities are also a setback for him. Harvey Elliott is more a championship player. And we need talent and fast players. I dont feel sorry for any player because if u are not good enough then u must be sold or go. In 10 years from now there will be other players.
Harvey before his ankle injury was explosive the season before….
Darwin Nunez will never work at LFC imo. He technique when the ball is at his feet is probably the worst ive ever seen in a lfc striker and that includes Caroll. He has good speed but his link up play is some of the worst ive seen. This is coming from a lfc fan who wanted Nunez at lfc. We don't have time for any projects players anymore. We have jurgen for another few years we cant hope these players come good.
Elliot won't be going out on loan ffs 🙄 Next season he'll get most of his starts at right wing in the Europa and propably an impact sub in the Prem if we're looking for a bit of creativity and a goal.
Nunez and Elliot were the only two who gave 100% every game. Nunez spent a bit of time injured. Nunez was amazing this season all things considered.
I have zero understanding for all the negativity around Nunez. He comes in with 22 years, 3 words of English in his pocket, new country, new league, in a completely under-performing team, where not even the ones that bought him have any obvious clue what to do with him (the coaches…), in a season long evolving playing system that is constantly being changed and tweaked, he scores 15 goals and has 4 assists in all comps (and would have scored more if we have had good cup runs) … and people are suggesting he should be sold after the very first year on his 6 years contract? Wow! With the same approach and factually then, Gabriel Jesus, a seasoned premier league player, playing in arguably the best overall performing team of the season, Arsenal, scores only 2 more PL goals than Darwin, and is hence complete TRASH (?!). Right? Football and player evaluation does not work this way boys and girls, sorry! …
I think Darwin was let down by Klopp persisting with a 4-3-3 that wasn’t working due to burnout, fatigue, loss of confidence and injuries. A pragmatist would have made adjustments sooner. Darwin playing with a stable midfield where Trent, Mac10, Robbo, Diaz, Mo & Virg are consistently finding him with quality will be a very different player to the Darwin we saw after the Utd thrashing. Despite his struggles his goal tally was pretty good for a first season, especially when considering minutes played
Terrible take on Nunez
Like the lad but can't see him in a team I'd personlly like to see. Keep him as a backup? Sorry, but we need better players who can come in and play at the same level as first choices. Agree though that our first choices have been bang average this season but, although think last season tool a lot out of them.
I’m not sure about either to be honest. I think the trouble is that we want them to succeed more than maybe we believe they will. I think both could do with a loan in a suitable club to get them playing every week, which I don’t think either of them will at Liverpool
Very Pesimistic views here….these people knows alot less than they think they do.
Elliott is too small, too slow, too panicky, and waaaayyyy toooo one footed. To the point where he can only dribble with his left foot stuttering his way up the field, and he can only turn one direction like Zoolander. Not worth the occasional solid shot with his left
elliot needs selling or loaning hes so shit.
Darwin will come good ,he's had time to settle. Expect the goals to come .as for Harvey ,keep him as back up.i
He as the talent and is young..we don't want to burn him out ,great show guys
YNWA
Nunez will have europa to develop himself with the team and then hopefully can use that to be better off the bench as he will have a better understanding
I really can't see him ever as a main starter but a bench player yeah
A stress injury 😂😂😂
They talk so much horse shit. Nunez has been one of our best players but his confidence dropped when he misses those chances. “ I don’t know what we do with him”? Don’t worry girl you won’t be doing anything with him because your not a manager. If them goals went in you be changing your tune. It’s called confidence dropped that was all. Jesus thank god none these guys aren’t the manager because Elliot been on loan and Nunez be gone by now.
If he finishes the next season with 15 goals he would have done as well as most players in their first two seasons.
Elliot is the new Shaq
Totally agree with being left sided heavy and right sided light. How did that happen?
Nunez was peaking before his injury,A fully fit Nunez is a great player to have and them games where we look to play balls in behind Nunez is perfect,For Harvey Elliot he has played well when he has played,Elliot on the left side of midfield with Robbo and Diaz he would be even better………YNWA
No faith in nunez, zero! He couldn't even be arsed to learn english.Get rid!
Cannon and balls comment on on Thiago and Curtis Jones is fucking ridiculous
Darwin wasn't shifted to the left he was forced to because Diaz got injured and jota was already injured, funny how much shit these fans talk about him, he's been one of our best players in the first half of the season, we bought Gakpo wasn't because Darwin was poor its because bobby got injured and we had to move Darwin back to centre and had OX on the left so we were forced to buy Gakpo, Gakpo does really well so people forget and hate on Darwin, doesn't help when big YouTube platforms only want to talk negative about him and not mention he's our second top goal scorer and scored in big games,
If we are talking about a change in system and who it really affects, lets talk Andy Robertson. Andy Robertson has no place in the starting 11 if we move to a 3-2-5 (3-2-2-3) system. Trent would move into the 6 and Robertson would be benched and never used. he is not adaptable like Trent.
I do agree about Elliott and Nunez. we have 6 attackers, the problem is 3 of them play on the left side. Diaz can only play left, Nunez left and centre and Gakpo Left and Centre. For me, the odd one out there is Diaz. He isn't versatile enough and he's not lighting up the stage like Salah does on the opposite wing. I love all of them, but I would get rid of Diaz before Nunez. Jota should only play as a 9. Jota is a box striker, he is best when he is in that 6-yard box, just like Haaland. we might sign Chiesa who will play right side when Salah leaves for AFCON in January.
For me it goes like this when nunez plays: LW: Nunez-ST:Gakpo-RW:Salah and when Gakpo needs a break we bring Jota in and when Nunez doesn't play, Diaz does.
Sell nunez?! MADNESS
Darwin is the future. First season in with all the issues we’ve had and he bags 15G/4A… that’s really, really good. Give him time! ♥️♥️♥️
First guy is a total mong
Nuñez works his socks off every single game which I like, he's quick, he's strong, he jumps high and is good at heading the ball in general, he's got a cracker of a shot. For me, he just seems a little bit dumb actually. I think he may not get Klopps tactics. Anyway, I'd keep him, I absolutely adore him.
The only reason why fans make excuses for Elliot is because his English. Honestly, when I look at Elliot and Cavalho I have to wonder why is Klopp buying and promoting these players? They are not technically good enough and strong enough to play in midfield for LFC. No way would they be playing at top sides like City, Bayern, or Madrid . Elliot needs to be sold
I dont understand the negativity around Nunez – he's a beast. If he didnt hit the post and bar, we'd be looking at his volleys like theyre the best things since sliced bread.
Personally, I'd much rather have Nunez in the teamsheet than Diaz. Diaz seems to get a free pass but his stats are average and he doesn't seem to do anything other than skirt around the outside of the box.
As for Elliott, I'm going to have to say no… He's the most unathletic person I've seen in a Liverpool shirt… I can't see where he contributes… Too slow for the wing, too small for midfield… What's his role?
I really just cannot believe all the hate Harvey and Nuñez get. Nuñez is the future of the front line, had a decent season in the hardest league in the world coming from Portugal, our midfield was nothing short of terrible this season and are unable to filter a proper ball. Harvey has been forced to start out of position in midfield when he’s supposed to be learning from the other midfielders and play a rotational role, instead he’s been starting and forced to manage games and has done a pretty good job in scoring in games, remember he is a kid. I’m so sick of fans whining man, get a grip ffs
Let’s remember, many games early in last season Darwin was the only source of attacking presence. That was also with no real midfielders to provide service and help press. He was also thrust into a starting role with injuries to our forwards before he was ready. I think he’ll come good next season.
