Great vid guys!
You pronounce his name incorrectly. Joao, not how.
Interesting. I guess one question is, if we do have the best part of £40m to spend, should it all go on one player and will he make a big difference to us? Too early to tell I think. We do need more goals from midfield and as you’ve said, that isn’t a recognised strength. The other issue is how he might fit in with Lanzini. Hopefully we will soon find out!
Under moyes he must of realised if he dont run hes nuts off he will be benched'''hes over all technique is good but I can see already he finishing in his poor'''its stiĺl early to make my mind up
They won't spend 40mil on him. Don't be silly.
He be gone in the summer for Snodgrass to replace him probably knowing our board
Good player, no question. But assuming Sullivan would sanction 38m spend on one player, while pretending to take a back seat, Surely we should only spend that sort of money on a player who would be an automatic selection when fit? It all depends how highly Moyes rates him now Lanzini is back. We can't afford to have that much money sat on the bench. or even in and out.
At this moment, I don't think he's worth 38m. It's hard to know what anybody's value is in today's game with all the huge sums distorting the reality.
I was interested to see that he is often criticised for his work rate and his willingness to get involved physically because those are the exact two areas that have made me question him. No doubt he has talent, but at the moment, I sometimes feel he doesn't work hard enough to win the ball back when he loses it, and that he's too easy to knock off the ball.
Against Liverpool, I also felt he was too eager to look for a pass when he was being closed down. I would like to see him turn a man and break forward a few yards in that situation before releasing the ball.
Again, no doubt he's talented and a nice option to have, but at this time, he's not worth the transfer fee in my opinion. I also thought Moyes should have dropped him today and kept Hernandez, assuming it was right that Lanzini came back in at all. Personally, I would have given him more time to recover, he looked ineffective today.
Really good video lads. Cheers
Good video but as far as judging him as a WHU PPL 3 games in, whilst an inkling, it's still premature.
