Barcelona has officially sold Memphis Depay to Atletico Madrid for a fee of around three million euros. Memphis had requested a move away from the club after Atletico showed concrete interest in signing the Dutchman. Depay was out of contract in June and was going to leave for free so the club was able to recoup a transfer fee to allow him to leave six months earlier. Again Barcelona strengthening our direct rivals isn’t ideal but the scenario wasn’t optimal. Now the club will be in search of a replacement forward, either a loan or free agent signing.

Memphis is a good player but he is no Luis Suarez or David villa. He will be no threat to Barca let alone score a hat trick.

Depay to Atletico Madrid is a done deal. We have gifted them a good player for £3m but I believe Barcelona agreed to do so out of respect for the player.
We will be eternally grateful to him for coming to our club for free without any signing bonuses and at a time when we were at our lowest in the last 20 years. He might not have succeeded but he certainly had one season to remember where he came out as our top scorer. I wished things could get better for him but our coach wasn't counting on him. We can only wish you the best with your career Lion King.

I wasn't happy with him in the way I always wanted more from than what he gave. Topscorer but if somebody else took penalties he was not even average. I got it with Lucky de Jong also but he delivered in his way. He's more a legend. Dippey did his job as the way I see it. Ok, and just average he was.
We should have done the swap deal lewandowski will not be able to be the only strike for the rest of the season. if lewy get injured who will replace him. Honestly, if we get Brozovic, i think it's a good bit of business from barcelona.
Even tho Memphis is 28 years old, he olny has 6months left on his contract, doesn't want to stay, not many people are willing to pay for him in the January transfer window when they can get him for free in the summer, plus he deserves to be let by the club. He came in and helped the club in difficult times.
And Brozovic is someone we need. Great player, and a great replacement for busi. Busquets can't do it at that level anymore.
The spine of the team would be better than ever.
All we need then is to focus on that attack, and if El Clasico is any indication, Gavi can play in that "false" LW position.
I think it would be a good idea to get rid of memphis, and get someone like Brozovic.
