Hannibal Mejrbi is one to keep a serious eye on, particularly with the gaping hole that is the Manchester United midfield, the lack of quality from McFred, alongside the lack of commitment from Paul Pogba may encourage United to look towards Mejbri. Do you think he could make an impact for Man United? Let me know your thoughts in the comments…

  1. I like the idea of that structure of bringing the young boys through. Bring them into the first team for a taste, training, get used to it. Not that currently that’s very good, then send him out while bringing someone back, rinse and repeat. The club has to put a proper structured development plan in place to let these boys succeed or fail. Structure at United?, tall ask, but a way forward. Good stuff Stephen!

  2. LOL!!! NOW HANNIBAL THE NEXT BIG THING….JUST LIKE POGBA, GREENWOOD, RASHFORD WERE DESTINED FOR GREATNESS…. LOL MAN UTD HAS BECOME A JOKE. A LAUGHING STOCK. GREATNESS FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP NOT THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 😂😂😂

  3. All that 'The Studio' stuff at the end of the video there just looks brilliant.. excited to see some of that! also Hannibal and Jimmy Garner would be mint as a double pivot if Pogba left

  4. Definitely agree. For me. Why not give him a chance. The small glimpses I've seen and everything I've heard, this guy can go on to great things. And with the space left by Greenwood for what has happened there, and the lack of strength and depth with the likes of Mata, Matic and others needing to be moved on in the twilight of their careers, why not bring him in for a the final part of the season and let's see what he can do. Try not to put too much pressure on where he ends up like James did for us and Januzaj before, but young players, with the hunger and desire to play for the shirt are worth the chance.

  5. next year has to be the reboot with all the youngsters who performed on loan coming in the first team and a few 'veterans' like DDG, Varane, Bruno, Ronaldo laying out the rules to them

  6. Watched some U23/U18 game a Good while ago and two kids caught my eye. Elangar and Hannibal. Looking at Elanga's performances in the 1st team gives me equally high hopes for Hannibal. Would love to see him as a 6. I know that sounds daft because he looks more likely an 8, but as its a position we're short in, I reckon this kid could adapt. He said a wee while ago that he looks at the 1st team and looks for areas to develop in his game in case a position which isn't necessarily his comes available. Maybe a Regista type as opposed to a ball winner. Someone who makes the team tick like Carrick? Carrick wasn't anything like a ball winner but he done alright for us! Personally, I prefer a ball winner so maybe an 8 will be his only chance?

  7. Always had a soft spot for Hannibal, Just something about him that's exciting. Always saw him as our Herrera replacement but its just a matter of when he gets that starting XI spot.

  8. I hope Ralf assigns Bruno to mentor Hannibal on and off the pitch. Or Varane for easier communication. He needs someone like them to have a positive impact on not only his football but his personal life as well. With everything going on currently at the club, the young players that are making the step up should have a mentor/buddy system to keep them in check but also learn from their mentors.

  9. I’d love to know how many players from the academy of the last 15 years Steven had high hopes for this That never made the cut –

    I can prob name 5 ..

    Adnan Januzaj
    Callum Gribbin
    Axel Tuanzebe
    frederic macheda
    Ravel Morrison

  10. I like the fact he has a bit of a nasty streak in him, he get fouled a lot but he gets up and gives it back, I know he has picked up a couple red cards I can live with that,

  11. I don't get why man like Hannibal doesn't get given a chance? 🤔 Our team is crying for a holding midfielder just to sit there sweep up and act like a deep lying playmaker!!

  12. I really think he is something big…..BUT….I think ya all should take it easy, not to make a maguire out of him. Lol…… on a serious note, I just want to give a soft reminder of what the media (social/conventional)has done to many potentially great players…… just saying!

  13. Quality player and Ronaldo would obviously like him because he knows he can give him service unlike Bruno who doesn’t have the technical ability to play as a 10 or 8 at the highest level that’s why he doesn’t start for Portugal.

The only thing holding Hannibal back is the politics at the club. Fletcher and Fergie are adamant McTominay should play even though he can’t start for Scotland or wouldn’t get in any prem side. You also have to consider who the next manager is and if they have the balls to play him over fan favourites. The only technical midfielder we have is Pogba which is a joke and we wonder why he wants to leave. Hannibal could very much be playing in serie A on a free before we put in a 100mill offer to buy him back. We have kept Mata and Lingard to block this boys entry this season. Our club is a shambles remember that.

  14. Garner is so good off the ball and with Mejbri being so good on it, they could complement each other quite well. With Garner as a 6 and Mejbri as an 8 (obviously I'm talking about next season). But no doubt some over rated player on big wages will be signed instead.

  15. You see what you are doing now? "Destined for Greatness"
Maybe enough with trying to push young players to their limits, and setting unrealistic expectations, and than being surprised why thwy rape, abuse and go to jail!

  16. Lets not kid ourselves, he'll play early in a cup game, be seen rarely, he will leave like Angel Gomes and be good for someone else meanwhile we will likely lose Bruno and pay 70m for a new no.10.
    Sounds about United

  17. “Lack of commitment from Pogba” – the slander never stops no wonder he's looking for a way out.
Bruno has been stinking the whole team up but he wont get dragged, why?

  18. Kid is ready, mata shouldn't haven been given a game this year over this kid, nor lingard if I'm being honest, blocking the next crop of youth just leave honourably!

  19. Following should happen::
Out: Matic, Mata, Pogba, Lingard, Van De Beek, Bailly, Maguire, Jones, Cavani, Greenwood, Martial.

In: Garner, Mejbri, Galbraith, Garnacho, Di Shawn Bernard, Laird, Williams, McNeil, Pellestri

Loan next season: Levitt, Alvaro Fernandes, Shoretire, Mengi, Amad

Lets start trusting youth and we will go a long way.
