Also, want to say one thing about something a lot of commentators did over the games today- all of them were saying Dorde Petrovic and Roman Bürki are the only two goalies in the MLS All-Star game talks right now- I swear, if Pedro Gallese doesn’t get picked after how many times he has saved Orlando’s asses this season, it will prove MLS’ severe neglect to Orlando’s success- Bürki, Petrovic, and Gallese are hands down the three best goalkeepers in MLS at the moment, and all three should be in that team. Plus, here’s a fun fact- Pedro is the only starting goalkeeper in the league apart from Brad Guzan that has experience playing Arsenal! I can’t count how many times McGuire was snubbed from Young Players of the Matchday and how goalscorers and Pedro were constantly snubbed from TOTM. MLS, get Pedro into your team, and I promise you he will do you proud. He has the same clean sheet number as Bürki, made more saves than Petrovic, and kicked for more yards than both of them combined (and he missed a game!).
One of the most pathetic, embarrassing displays from the Red Bulls this season. We need to use this break to reflect on this game and improve in every single aspect… there was not a single thing that was a positive from this team tonight, especially the finishing (looking at you Barshit). We have two and a half weeks before our next game, let’s use it and come back stronger.
Come on NYRB, really? If your defenders are slower than the enemy forwards DON'T GO TOO HIGH, because they will beat you on the sprint! This is so basic that any youth DT knows it. Also, you get two players sent off, how do you expect to win a game like that?
