In this episode I’m joined by Clive Palmer, who must strongly agree, agree, disagree or strongly disagree with statements I put to him (suggested by our Patreon members). 1. Both Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah are deceptively good as target men. Take a look at some of their headed goals and anticipation of their runs to make up your mind. I think a lot of the fan concern is underestimation of certain qualities that are there to be exploited and solved within the squad than without.

  2. We did not really have a chane to sell AMN; Wolves offered £15m, we told them our price was £20m and they never came back. They weren't serious about the transfer, just looking for a deal.

  3. One thing I say about William Saliba I never seen fans form a different country wear their team kit and come to are stadium where his name on the back

  4. Problem with trying to get £40m+ for KT is that Newcastle et al know we don't want him. Cucerella was being used at Brighton, Chillwell was being used at Leicester. They might have the money but they aren't stupid.

  5. For Patino or Balogun like promising players when we sell them ,we need buyback clauses to give them a chance to play for Arsenal when they are in prime age

  6. I have a feeling we will be talking about Artetas inability to adapt his team to injuries every season. He learned no lessons from last season's capitulation

  7. Maybe Smith Rowe is the right 8. kiwior as the left sided Ben white and a new hybrid right back

  8. Clive did not sit on the fence… but for part of it it was as if he was trying to climb back up to it: I'm imaging him clinging onto a fence with the tips of his fingers like Wily Cyote- funny where your brain goes!

  9. Fabio Vieira weighed 57kg when we first bought him, by comparison ESR weighs 79kg. FV is just incredibly light weight and I think he's the lightest player in the PL also I'm not entirely convinced by his position play either.

  10. Clive's 3-2 analysis is spot on when talking about ESR as a #8. It is why getting BOTH Rice and Caicedo would be my #1 and #2 transfer target; our structure would go up multiple levels in quality. The moment your engine room looks like Caicedo as the #6, Rice as the left sided #8 and Odegaard as the right sided #8 as the default with BOTH Viera and ESR offering legitimate back up is the moment this team can use it's squad because of defensive solidity to build from. This of course assumes proper back 4 and getting the right back so White can hybrid to right back or right center back is the other priority. Doing this, Arsenal has the squad to solidify champions league for years to come with the midfield now aged down like the rest of the squad is. If we are solidifying our place in Champions League we are also competing for the league year in year out.

  12. Haha I loved how Clive was generally quite reluctant to give too many direct "agree/disagree" answers, but then made sure to go all in on Lampard at the end 😅

  13. Great podcast too get my gooner fix . City lately are getting good deals …… Maybe something suspicious going on. Not saying it is but if you had been told your girlfriend was cheating you would still have that doubt in back of your mind
