if we want to be competing in the upper echelons of the prem we need a consistent striker to bang the goals in. AM is simply not consistent. joselu is also not up to the job. we need a couple of big striker signings desperately!

The crosses into the box is a big issue! Too central! Our wide players, both Wingers & fullbacks can beat a man.. But can't cross a damm ball
He's better than Joselu that's all we need 2 know do we need a better striker yes but Rafa is taking the piss.
He's not the best finisher and he has his issues but he is a good physical presence that pressures defenders and gives us a target for direct play and I think that's important for a team like Newcastle which evidently lacks the technical talent of other top teams. He offers something different and that's not a bad thing when you're talking about Joselu and Perez

If you put him on against Man United he'll lose his temper and get sent off and other teams know this and will play on it, that's why Rafa wont play him and hopefully he'll be out the door come January.

As our only international striker I'm absolutely gobsmacked that he's getting left out… How Rafa can go around putting his arm around Shelvey telling him as long as he doesn't do it again everything's grand is moronic.. In retrospect Mitrovic would've suited pardew or Bobby Robson but Rafa is a huffy fella and if Mitros pissed on his cornflakes he will never forgive him. Me I'd play Arrons and Atsu on the wing and Ritchie at No 10 and start Mitro at Man Utd… Cos Arrons is another one who if he ain't playing we will lose him. I'm not talking about Joselu or Gayle cos I don't want to offend them!

I like him as a person. His personalty and passion is amazing, but his quality just isnt there. His pace, awareness, positioning and finishing just isnt up to scratch. I dont rate Joselu either. To be honest i just dont rate our attack. Atsu and Ritchie are sound, but Mitro, Joselu, Gayle, Perez, Murphy and Diame just arent premier league quality in my opinion
Fuck Gayle, heās a championship player. Joselu isnāt good at all he just makes up the numbers. So just give mitro a few games running to prove a point
I like him he is a real character but I don't rate him I just don't think hes good enough for the English game he lacks pace and skill I think he would do well in franc or Italy and maybe Germany or spain

I love him, but but like you said his biggest chance was second half of last season when gayle had injuries and he still couldn't get a good run. The few times he did get on he didn't perform. Those Preston goals were first half and were 4 of just 6. I remember waiting for him to go on a tear but tbf darryl deserved his place. Frustrating.
I rate mitrovic heās passionate and with 1 up front you need someone who is a big strong lad who can hold the ball up. Gayle isnāt strong enough and Joselu misses far too many chances. Although he lacks in the pace department have atsu and Ritchie push on in the 4-2-3-1 so he can hold it up and play them in on goal.
I am a fan of the lad I'm not sure if I rate him as his temper gets the better of the poor bloke and that is why Rafa doesn't start him
A striker thats a mix between Mitrovic and Gayle would be superb! Gayles finishing can be sublime and mitro has the height, strength and ariel threat.
Supermac Superstar how many goals have you scored so far? Mitrovic superstar? how many red cards have you got so far? I think for the sake of Mitros career he needs to move on in jan and I wish him good luck. In the right formation he would probably score 20 plus goals a season , trouble is he is a loose cannon, and until he gets his head sorted out he wont be a prolific striker. The problem is once you get on the wrong side of Rafa there is no second chance, he has alienated the following players Aarons, Mbemba, Mitrovic, Gayle, Darlow, Murphy and Colback. There is a story that when he was at Real Madrid he gave Ronaldo some advice on the things he needed to work on, the next day Ronaldo gave him a dvd with all the goals he had scored on it!Lol That was one big ego you dont cross, and not long after that he was sacked although the team were in a good position Rafa was too rigid in his tactics. We all love Rafa but we might have to accept his way of playing , but if he wins us a trophy I dont mind, but it certainly wont be a rollercoaster ride like in the keegan era. It would be good to see both supermac and big al back on the training ground helping out and giving advice. When you look at the venom with witch those guys scored there goals it makes some of the strikers today look like fairies!

Do I rate him? Not at all. Given too many chances missed to many sitters, could not cut it in the championship let alone premier league. The guy is a thug.
Hugely rate Mitrovic, IMO by far the most naturally gifted newcastle player and would be devesatating to see him go to another epl side and smash it
Only players I think are good are Richie and Gayle, mitro does have passion which I really like though
I rate him because he just getting everyone motivated as soon as he come on the players and the fans buzz goes up massively. He gets into the positions and gets into the defences puts pressure on defence where our other strikers don't. He gets up and fights for the ball gets into the strikers and he puts 100% effort in every game, you can see this as when he's on the pitch he gets the crowd going and everyone he comes on we start to get more shots in. Our other strikers sent doing it they haven't scored enough and that's fact. why shouldn't we try mitro as other strikers aren't doing

Can you trust mitro well… Can you trust ronaldo? Could you trust cantana? Look mitro will get sent off once or twice a season shelvey will get sent off once and several other players will pick up suspensions due to yellow cards. That's life.
