  1. Perhaps they would be hesitant to bring Paxten Aaronson to a Nations League finals until they see him as a senior team player. They might not want to bring him if they are bringing him just because he was unable to go to the U20 World Cup. It's different if it's a friendly. These decisions have psychological and social repercussions, both for Aaronson and for the rest of the U20 player pool. Aaronson being elevated like that, giving the impression of some sort of threshold or vote of confidence when it actuality it was just a result of circumstance, could leave him deflated when there isn't a follow-up to it and could also put additional expectations on him from his U20 teammates.

  2. Is it certain that Alphonso Davies is a better winger than Pulisic? What makes Davies so valuable as a left back is that he's someone who can play the wing who also possesses elite top speed and can defend as well. The top speed isn't as important at the wing, where other attributes become more important. I don't know if he has any sort of quickness advantage over Pulisic and Pulisic has superior dribbling and passing in tight spaces, from what I recall. Davies might be the best winger Canada has, but he just isn't as valuable on the wing as he is at left back.

  3. I think he took it a little to far to compare balo and David, I mean David is a finalist for that best French player award against the best players in France 🤷🏽‍♂️

  4. Well, other than the whole 4 goalies thing, BJ put together a nice looking roster. Glad to see Josh Cohen finally get a look, but he must be thinking those 4 goalies are his pool for both NL and GC and wanted to get a long look at all of them. I'd like to see Gaga be on the GC squad instead of either Johnson or Callender (or both).

As for the field players, with all the injuries I think this is about as good as it gets for NL.

  5. As long as Zimmerman is getting sub time only, it’s good. I’m hoping Pepi can shut down the haters. I’m a big RP fan. He can clean up the trash in front of goal or create on his own. Dude is on a mission to disprove the haters discounting him over Balogun. Expect him to just burn shit down in the nations league.

  6. Mexico beats the US and Canada beats Panama. Final is a toss up. Canada has a lot of injured players who are questionable for the upcoming NL… If they play and have game fitness, a slight advantage to Canada.

  7. Hi Tac, u asked for comments: I'm going to both Semis and Finals. Spent over $300 and hope it wasn't a waste. After BJ announcement am expecting no teeth. I was worried about MX beating us. I'm a bit hopeful but we will see. I love US/MX games, especially when US wins and 90% of the crowd gets quiet. Hope for that on 6/15. If we beat MX have no doubt we beat CAN. If you have a place u want me to send some indoors pics of games let me know. Wish us luck. Sorry u r not there, would have loved to say hi to u. Enjoy Brazil, never been there, on my bucket list after Argentina (blame Dustin) .. lol .. love skiing. Love all u do, keep up the good work bud.

  8. I hope some of our key players stay for Gold cup like Pulisic at least. He needs games under his belt and gives him an opportunity to win the gold cup trophy. Sucks that some players get that opportunity.

  9. USA has the best goal keeper in the U20 tournament but Ecuador was the only quality team that they faced. Uruguay has the 2nd best goal keeper of the tournament. This game might go to penalties.

The winner will probably face Brazil but don't count Israel out. Their goal keeper is pretty good and I srael is the Cinderella team of this tournament as they were in the U19 Euro Championship were they lost to England in the Finals in extended time, 1:0.

England lost to Italy due to the Brazilian referees not awarding a deserved penalty against Italy and giving Italy a penalty that was not. FIFA has 5 cameras on the field but only 2 were shown the replays. However, England 2 goal against Uruguay should have been called off due to the foul just prior to the assist.

  10. Weston was called up to Leeds😂😂😂😂 that was a joke from the begining. Was Marsh trying to create strong system for his usmnt manager job?

  11. The second Gregg and Ernie leave the nonsense where the same mls players in the league for 10 years miraculously stopped getting called

  12. Alexi…..Americans do NOT trust MLS players…they're not as tried and true as European players…you know this comon dude….are you invested in MLS clubs personally….directly/indirecttttttttly 😉 FOR REAL: It's embarassing that we keep doing this – AMERICANS ARE EXPECTING BIG THINGS from the USMNT @ WC 2026! Don't gamble with MLS that the fans will forgive MLS again!!!! We might be over USMNT with more questionable roster decisions/COACHES

  13. Sorry Tact; but the Canadian team is actually the better team. You underestimated the Canadian team all of last year too; but I fully understand why you are biased.

Looking at the Canadian probable starters:
22 year old Alphonso Davies is outstanding & the best player in Concacaf & an acknowledged star for Bayern & one of the fastest players on the planet. 23 year old Jonathan David is close behind Davies & is 4 goals ahead of Balogun in Ligue 1 & has a much better efficiency rating too & he is more experienced. Don't forget Canada's top all time goal scorer, 28 year old Cyle Larin, who has been on fire scoring goals in La Liga in Spain over the past few months. Then there is the very talented & highly skilled 24 year old, Tajon Buchanan, playing for Club Brugge in Belgium. it is being said that he is about to be purchased by Inter Milan.
    These are all excellent forwards!

Looking at Canada's midfield, 26 year old Stephen Eustaquio is a terrific midfielder, starring for the champion FC Porto team, combined with 24 year old Alistair Johnston, who starred for Celtic in the Scottish Premier league this year & Ismael Kone, the tall fast, skilled 20 year old, playing very well for Watford FC in England.

Up until this point, Canada has the definite edge over the U.S. team in forwards & midfielders.

Now the U.S. team has the better defensive group of individuals; but keep in mind that in the Concacaf Qualifiers last year, Canada's 'team defence' did not allow more than 1 goal for over a year of matches!
36 year old Steven Vitoria has lost a step, but he is still a very effective defender. 26 year old Scott Kennedy, is fast & has had a good year in the Bundesliga 2 league. 25 year old Derek Cornelius has had a terrific year for Malmo in the Swedish league. So while the U.S. has the better individual defenders, Canada's defenders will still be a strong group & the overall team defence is very good.

Canada definitely gets the edge in goalkeeping too, as 35 year old, experienced Milan Borjan has been the rock for the Red Star team in the Serbian SuperLiga for years. He has 2 very good back-up goalkeepers in Max Crepeau & Dayne St. Claire too.

Canada was the #1 team in the qualifiers last year (the only CONCACAF tournament that featured the best players last year) & that was fully deserved & the young stars have only gotten better & have added a couple more strong young players this season.
Canada's team & fans are confident that they have the best team both on paper & on the field. Only time will tell.
Oh yeah, Canada has the better proven coach in John Herdman too!

The best part really is that both the U.S. & Canada's young talented teams will be maturing & peaking heading into the 2026 World cup, which we will both host, along with Mexico. It's great if we can all push each other to be better & hopefully we can surprise other countries from around the world.

  14. I’m going to Vegas for the Semis, who else is going? I’m trynna see if there’s opportunities to meet the players at training or hotel lobby if anyone has info on where that will take place Lmk
